These robots are typically not designed to be highly energy inefficient, but they tend to consume a considerable amount of energy. With the emergence of industrial robots on mobile platforms, energy efficiency can be a big deal and has become a major focus when operated using battery power. This research first focuses on understanding the robot's kinematic and dynamic behaviors, as they need to be understood before proposing a method to develop an optimization module for the robot drive system. Collaborative Redundant Manipulators are safe robots to put on a mobile platform. Moreover, these robots increase the level of dexterity, have the ability to avoid singularities, joint limits and workspace obstacles. Therefore, a seven degrees of freedom collaborative redundant manipulator, KUKA LBR iiwa 14R820 robot was chosen for this research and for analysis to help achieve many of the results that are useful to both the industry and the academic fields.
