Book Emotional Transformation Therapy

Download or read book Emotional Transformation Therapy written by Steven R. Vazquez and published by Jason Aronson, Incorporated. This book was released on 2012-11-02 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Emotional Transformation Therapy: An Interactive Ecological Psychotherapy describes an entirely original approach to psychotherapy that drastically accelerates therapeutic outcomes in terms of speed and long-term effects. It includes an attachment-based interpersonal approach that increases the impact of the therapist-client bond and is amplified by the precise use of the client's visual ecology. This synthesis is called Emotional Transformation Therapy® (ETT®). Steven R. Vazquez, PhD, discusses four techniques that therapeutically harness the client's visual ecology. When the client is asked to view a maximally saturated spectral chart of colors, visual feedback provides immediate diagnostic information that helps the therapist to regulate emotional intensity or loss of awareness of emotions. A second technique offers an original form of directed eye movement that facilitates relief of emotional distress within minutes. A third technique uses peripheral eye stimulation to rapidly reduce extreme emotional or physical pain within seconds as well as to access previously unconscious thoughts, emotions, or memories related to the issue or symptom. The fourth technique uses the emission of precise wavelengths (colors) of light into the client's eyes during verbal processing that dramatically amplifies the effect of talk therapy and changes the brain in profound ways. Emotional Transformation Therapy uses theory, research, and case studies to show how this method can be applied to depression, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and complex trauma. Pre and post brain scans have shown that ETT® substantially changes the human brain. This method possesses the potential to revolutionize psychotherapy as we know it.

Book Slow Down I m Getting Well Too Fast

Download or read book Slow Down I m Getting Well Too Fast written by Dr. Iren Fellegvari and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2014-11-14 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our eyes are involved in most of our experiences and in forming our memories. It seems logical that we can use our eyes to change hurtful memories. Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT) was developed with this concept in mind. Emotions play an extraordinary role in our lives. Every event is labeled with a corresponding emotion in our brains. An experience can be characterized as pleasant or dangerous-or by any other identifier that influences our thoughts and actions or determines whether we want to remember a particular occurrence. Events do not change if the emotional labels are altered, but we think and react differently to different labels. People can go from feeling victimized to becoming proud survivors if the labels are changed. A crisis situation can become either a tragedy or a new beginning based on a person's emotional evaluation. ETT does not change facts, but it can help transform shame, fear, loneliness, emptiness, and other often paralyzing feelings, opening up a person to the possibility of more realistic and empowering mind-sets. ETT offers quick, goal-oriented treatment for severe psychological problems like PTSD, abuse, and eating disorders and everyday situations such as stress in one's professional life, anxiety that hinders achievement, and more. Learn more about this revolutionary new treatment method designed by a licensed clinical psychologist, and unlock the secret to fast, effective recovery.

Book Seduction Surrender and Transformation

Download or read book Seduction Surrender and Transformation written by Karen J. Maroda and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-06-17 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Seduction, Surrender, and Transformation demonstrates how interpersonal psychoanalysis obliges analysts to engage their patients with genuine emotional responsiveness, so that not only the patient but the analyst too is open to ongoing transformation through the analytic experience. In so doing, the analyst moves from the position of an "interpreting observer" to that of an "active participant and facilitator" whose affective communications enable the patient to acquire basic self-trust along with self-knowledge. Drawing on the current literature on affect, Maroda argues that psychological change occurs through affect-laden interpersonal processes. Given that most patients in psychotherapy have problems with affect management, the completing of cycles of affective communication between therapist and patient becomes a vitally important aspect of the therapeutic enterprise. Through emotionally open responses to their patients and careful use of patient-prompted self-disclosures, analysts can facilitate affect regulation responsibly and constructively, with the emphasis always remaining on the patients' experience. Moments of mutual surrender - the honest emotional giving over of patient to analyst and analyst to patient - epitomize the emotionally intense interpersonal experiences that lead to enduring intrapsychic change. Maroda's work is profoundly personal. She does not hesitate to share with the reader how her own personality affects her thinking and her work. Indeed, she believes her theoretical and clinical preferences are emblematic of the way in which the analyst's subjectivity necessarily shapes theory choice and practice preferences in general. Seduction, Surrender, and Transfomation is not only a powerful brief for emotional honesty in the analytic relationship but also a model of the personal openness that, according to Maroda, psychoanalysis demands of all its practitioners.

Book Neuro Emotional Transformation

Download or read book Neuro Emotional Transformation written by Claudia Vece and published by Bruno Editore. This book was released on 2021-11-11 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How nice would it be if in just five minutes we were able to pass from an emotional state of malaise to one of wellbeing? What would our life therefore be like if we had the strategies to quickly transform states of stress, anxiety, uncertainty or fear into states of joy, determination and confidence? And how would our days be if we were able to calm recurring negative thoughts so as to access a mental space of tranquility and serenity with ease? When disempowering thoughts and emotions dominate our days, we no longer have energy and psycho-emotional space to dedicate to our goals. Suffocated by the grip of malaise, our vitality, motivation, and focus are simply lacking, giving way to a sometimes dissatisfied and pessimistic personality. A question therefore arises spontaneously: “How is it that in the world there are people that manage to always see the glass as half full, so as to enable their optimism to attract favorable opportunities and circumstances?” The secret to becoming an “architect” of your own reality lies in transforming your psycho-emotional state into wellbeing and potential. In this book, I will reveal to you how to transform your personal reality starting from enriching and empowering your thoughts and emotions, so as to increase your personal wellbeing and your attraction potential through Neuro-Emotional Education. Book Religious Belief and Emotional Transformation

Download or read book Religious Belief and Emotional Transformation written by Paul Lauritzen and published by Bucknell University Press. This book was released on 1992 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Even a cursory reading of contemporary moral philosophy and theological ethics reveals that discussions in these disciplines are often far removed from the actual experiences of individuals struggling to live morally. One reason for this is the general silence in most modern ethical theory about the place of emotions in the moral life. In this study of the possibility of emotional/moral transformation through religious belief and practice, Paul Lauritzen breaks this silence and attempts to explain both why emotions have been ignored and why they must be reclaimed." "Drawing on work in philosophical psychology, cultural anthropology, and religious studies, Lauritzen develops an account of emotions and of the self that allows us to see how a system of religious belief and practice may dramatically transform the emotional life of the believer. He argues that emotions are not biologically basic experiences, invariant from culture to culture, but rather are culturally mediated artifacts that are inescapably tied to communities of belief and practice that sustain particular understandings of the self and its world." "To this end, Lauritzen sketches a "social-constructivist" account of human emotions and analyzes the emotion of anger in detail. By comparing anger as it is found in our culture with accounts of "anger" in certain non-Western societies, the author demonstrates that emotions are crucially shaped in communities of belief and practice and are thus open to transformation with a change in belief and practice." "This possibility is explored at length by examining the way in which a framework of retributive justice structures the experience of anger in our culture. According to Lauritzen, this framework presupposes that the human condition is characterized by limited resources, on the one hand, and by limited generosity, on the other. Against this background, anger will appear to be a natural retributive response to violations of individuals' rights." "The author concludes the study by showing how, given particular religious views about human life and history, the framework of retributive justice may be transformed or transcended in ways that dramatically affect the emotional life of the believer."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. Book Emotion in Motion

Download or read book Emotion in Motion written by Dr David Picard and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2012-11-28 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What happens when tourists scream with fear, shout with anger and frustration, weep with joy and delight, or even faint in the face of revealed beauty? How can certain sites affect some tourists so deeply that they require hospitalisation and psychiatric treatment? What are the inner contours of tourist experience and how does it relate to specific emotional cultures? What are the consequences of the emotional cultures of tourists upon destinations? How are differences in emotional culture mobilized and played out in the transnational contact zones of international tourism? While many books have engaged with the structural frames of tourist practice and experience, this is the first to deal with the emotional dimensions of tourism, travel and contact and the ways in which they can transform tourists, destinations and travel cultures through emotional engagements. The book brings together an international array of scholars from anthropology, psychiatry, history, cultural geography and critical tourism studies to explore how the movement to, and through, the realms of exotic people, wild natures, subliminal art, spirit worlds, metropolitan cities and sexualised 'others' variably provoke emotions, peak experiences, travel syndromes and inner dialogues. The authors show how tourism challenges us to engage with concepts of self, other, time, nature, sex, the body and death. Through a set of ethnographic and historic cases, they demonstrate that such engagements usually have little to do with the actual destination but rather, are deeply anchored in personal memories, repressed fears and desires, and the collective imaginaries of our societies.

Book Digital Leadership Agile Change and the Emotional Organization

Download or read book Digital Leadership Agile Change and the Emotional Organization written by Martin Kupiek and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-05-24 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book shows an innovative way for managers to gain a better understanding of emotions in teams and organizational units and thus positively influence agile development in the context of digital transformation of companies. Digitalization does not just lead to technical changes. It dramatically changes the way employees work with each other as well as how executives play their roles. In an agile working environment, middle management in particular loses power, influence, and relevance, and customer relationships are subject to greater affectivity. The result is an increased emotionalization of the actors, which should be recognized and understood prior to designing the emotional landscape of the organization and to developing and implementing successful business models. The author introduces various conventional and AI-based instruments based on current research for handling emotions, supported by practical concepts.

This book will take you on a journey of spiritual awakening toward spiritual growth through emotional transformation. We will talk about love, energy, light, and joy, as well as magic, transformation, the shadow, black holes, consciousness, and alternate dimensions. We will also discuss God, nature, freedom, evolution, language, frequency, music, healing, and among other things; the mystery which unites everything within a dynamic existence. This is a spiritual book of spiritual awakening and spiritual growth. There are many wisdom books on self-care, energy healing, positive energy, healing vibration, and transcendence. What makes this transcendence book unique is the way in which it engages the reader toward emotional success through discovering his or her inner voice. This is a book of joy, a transformation book. Through this book you will learn how to cultivate your inner voice and transform your life to live with meaning and purpose. You will learn about the stages in the cycle of elevation and the complementary forces which guide us to discover our unique emotional blueprint. PORTRAITS OF TIME A picture shows you what was; a mirror shows you what is; a dream reveals what could be; while relationships expand all possibilities. Do not read the pages of this book the same way you would look at a picture. Do not mimic the messages within like you would gaze into a mirror. Do not get lost in the fantasy of a dream which could be. Apply the concepts you find useful in this book to discover your potential, your inner voice. Connect to the source of your energy--the motivation behind your inner voice--so you may discover your unique emotional blueprint. The source of your energy will reveal the purpose you were born to share with the world. Your purpose is the gift that will broaden the experience of this gift we call life. A picture, a mirror, and a dream are all images, perceptions and projections of the past, present, and future. The limitation these three aspects of time share is a visage of inaction. Action is what is required, what is necessary to transform vision into reality. Don't sit around and contemplate the words of this book or the philosophy of its teachings. On our journey toward spiritual growth, spiritual awakening, and emotional success, we must maintain a joyful vibration which aligns with transcendence. Our consciousness must dream, but above all--we must Act. A consciousness book, a book of joy would encourage nothing less than the courage to act. Experience what could be by manifesting your dreams into reality. True vision creates and produces purpose. Purpose is revealed by no other means than action. What you do, what you set into motion through decisive action is what reflects purpose in your life. Life can add up to cheap thrills or valuable experiences. Our actions will dictate a life of substance or of insignificance. We create our pictures, we look into the mirror every day and we dream of something which will resonate within us as meaning, yet we will never experience this connection or cultivate a relationship with our purpose if we do not act. We mustn't hide in the safety and security of neutrality or mediocrity; we must risk it all in the face of adversity and rejection with the will to overcome any and all obstacles so our purpose and greatness may be revealed. It's only when we merge with our meaning that we are able to accept the past, understand the present and integrate the future to form an elevated vision of purpose, a purpose which compels us into action toward a perpetual dream. A transcendent voyage: The cycle of elevation. Discover the four stages of the cycle of elevation and discover your inner voice. Accept, understand, integrate, and elevate.

This book was released on 2018-08-28 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT) is major breakthrough in the treatment of trauma, OCD, depression, anxiety. Intense feelings, such as terror, pain, guilt, and shame, which are often a major obstacle to treatment, can be released without the person having to feel them. This prevents flooding and dissociating during treatment. In addition, ImTT also utilizes a new model of psychological dynamics called the Survival Model of Psychological Dynamics that provides an effective and efficient approach to treating mental disorders. The result is that both emotional and behavioral changes are easier, gentler, and faster. The ImTT Scripts for Therapists manual provides scripts of the ImTT protocols that the therapist can read to their clients. The manual has 32 scripts targeting different disorders such as phobias, depression, anxiety, OCD, anger, chronic pain, and trauma. At the beginning of each section is a discussion of the ImTT approach to the disorder and a script to help the client set up the appropriate target for processing. In addition to the scripts, the manual has an overview of Image Transformation Therapy and a section that can be read to explain ImTT to clients. The fourth edition has new scripts and changes in several previous scripts as a result of the development of the Image/Feeling Protocol (IFP) and a new understanding of how the feeling of frozen effects current behavior.
