Book Elements of Spiritual Philosophy

Download or read book Elements of Spiritual Philosophy written by R. P. Ambler and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-01-03 with total page 82 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Elements of Spiritual Philosophy: Being an Exposition of Interior Principles Spirits have looked with dismay on the dense and stifling atmosphere of the lower world. They have seen that the earth has been clouded with an emanation which has flowed from the gross and undeveloped minds of the people. They see that Materialism has been the prevailing faith of the mass through all the darkened ages of the Past, and that superstitions of the most degrading character have been fostered in the foul bosom of the human race. They have beheld the vision which such scenes have presented with the regret which sympathizing angels ever feel for the unfortunate and depressed; and in the love which flows amid the homes of wretchedness and suffering, have they spoken to the hearts which are buried in the gloom of earthly corruption. Spirits have seen what the blinded world do not see, because they are elevated above the plane of sensuous existence, and can perceive the deep and interior reality. Thus it is beheld as a lamentable truth that the world has been ever, in all previous eras, darkly and grossly material - that it has lived and flourished amid the fading dreams of sense and with all the surrounding influences of degrading passion. Book Spirituality A Very Short Introduction

Download or read book Spirituality A Very Short Introduction written by Philip Sheldrake and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2012-11-29 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has been suggested that 'spirituality' has become a word that 'can define an era'. Why? Because paradoxically, alongside a decline in traditional religious affiliations, the growing interest in spirituality and the use of the word in a variety of contexts is a striking aspect of contemporary western cultures. Indeed, spirituality is sometimes contrasted attractively with religion, although this is problematic and implies that religion is essentially dogma, moralism, institutions, buildings, and hierarchies. The notion of spirituality expresses the fact that many people are driven by goals that concern more than material satisfaction. Broadly, it refers to the deepest values and sense of meaning by which people seek to live. Sometimes these values are conventionally religious. Sometimes they are associated with what is understood as 'the sacred' in a broader sense - that is, of ultimate rather than merely instrumental importance. This Very Short Introduction, written by one of the most eminent scholars and writers on spirituality, explores the historical foundations of the thought and considers how it came to have the significance it is developing today. ABOUT THE SERIES: The Very Short Introductions series from Oxford University Press contains hundreds of titles in almost every subject area. These pocket-sized books are the perfect way to get ahead in a new subject quickly. Our expert authors combine facts, analysis, perspective, new ideas, and enthusiasm to make interesting and challenging topics highly readable.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In his second book, RJ Widry draws on sources from psychology, philosophy, and spirituality, creating a cohesive and syncretistic ideology that the author calls Univernatism. The term itself indicates a merging of universal and natural ways of life, which he has explained and organized with various formulae. RJ Widry also reveals cryptic revelations and universal, natural essences of life, which he had gleaned during his time of isolation. In this way the author shares his vision of paradise, in the here and now, with each of his readers. Written practically and mathematically, his work can be adopted and assimilated by people of any faith or religion. Universal and natural, the writing speaks directly to the individual reader, encouraging all to develop and discover his or her own ideal heaven on earth. As the author believes that “happiness looks different to each who finds it,” he has written in detail a way for inner exploration that each person can apply to his or her own path in life.

Book Elements Evolution

Download or read book Elements Evolution written by Eric Meyers and published by Astrology Sight. This book was released on 2010 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Elements & Evolution: The Spiritual Landscape of Astrology. This groundbreaking, innovative book explores how the 4 elements structure and catalyze spiritual evolution from a number of angles. It explores Cyclical Evolution (the great cycle through the zodiac), and Progressive Evolution (the development of consciousness), and offers commentary on the evolutionary purpose of every facet of astrology. This is not a book about chart interpretation, rather, it aims to reveal the underlying workings of astrology itself. The thought-provoking information may inform anyone s approach to charts by adding layers of nuance, clarifying how the various aspects relate to soul growth, and understanding the relationship of astrology and consciousness. It is already being considered a major contribution by many leaders in the field. Contributions include a new classification of the elements: Water & Fire are discussed as being charged, and Earth & Air are neutral. Progressive evolution discusses how our soul growth occurs at 4 Elemental Levels the physical (Earth), emotional (Water), mental (Air), and soul (Fire). In great detail, this book clarifies the process of spiritual awakening as seen through astrology and the 4 Elements which compose its spiritual landscape.

This book was released on 2015-10-22 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the third and final installment of The Elements of Heaven RJ Widry invites the reader to accompany him on a journey of personal growth and Enlightenment. Although this path leads to, creates and organizes a new and illuminating Meta-medical practice: Psychespirituality, the voyage itself is Mystical, Spiritual and Poetic. Richard Jay Widry started writing poetry at age 9 as a personal chronicle of his intellectual and spiritual evolution. In his teens he began his search for personal understanding. This quest continued through the Consciousness minded 1960's & 70's and he expanded his writing into more metaphysical realms. As he grew he began to recognize the Spirituality within and around him. Through the study of formal Meditation he acquired a broader spiritual understanding. As he learned, his poetry became more profound.
