They are in the form of connected, practical, and interesting dialogues, descriptions and narratives concerning school, city and country life, and ordinary business transactions. In the last four lessons they are exclusively of a commercial character, thus furnishing a good beginning in Spanish commercial practice and correspondence. The exercises are abundant and the teacher can use them in various ways. He may make frequent reviews; change the subject pronouns in the texts; add conversational exercises both for oral and written work, based on the texts; or reproduce from day to day the subject matter of the previous lesson.
