Download or read book Low Radar Cross Section HIS Based Phased Array written by Hema Singh and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-08-16 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The design and development of low radar cross section (RCS) phased array has been a challenging subject in stealth technology. The frequency selective surface elements act as absorbers in specific frequency band and facilitate gain enhancement and reduction of antenna RCS. This book presents a comprehensive EM design and analysis of such low-profile patch arrays with high impedance surface-based ground plane. It explains how to determine radiation mode RCS of low-profile antenna arrays with arbitrary configurations. Detailed descriptions of design, workflow of determining radiation and scattering behavior of antenna arrays have been supported with schematics, tables, and illustrations. Aimed at engineers and researchers for RCS, antenna engineers and graduate students in electrical engineering and electromagnetics, it • Discusses both radiation and scattering features of both planar and conformal HIS-based low profile antennas • Describes the theoretical background, design, simulations and analysis of low RCS phased array in detail • Presents the physics behind the resultant radiation and scattering characteristics of designed antenna array • Helps readers understand design and analysis of low RCS antenna array without any degradation in its radiation performance • Includes figures, schematics and illustrations to provide comprehensive descriptions of both radiation and scattering characteristics of phased arrays of different configurations
Download or read book Plasma based Radar Cross Section Reduction written by Hema Singh and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-09-30 with total page 67 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a comprehensive review of plasma-based stealth, covering the basics, methods, parametric analysis, and challenges towards the realization of the idea. The concealment of aircraft from radar sources, or stealth, is achieved through shaping, radar absorbing coatings, engineered materials, or plasma, etc. Plasma-based stealth is a radar cross section (RCS) reduction technique associated with the reflection and absorption of incident electromagnetic (EM) waves by the plasma layer surrounding the structure. A plasma cloud covering the aircraft may give rise to other signatures such as thermal, acoustic, infrared, or visual. Thus it is a matter of concern that the RCS reduction by plasma enhances its detectability due to other signatures. This needs a careful approach towards the plasma generation and its EM wave interaction. The book starts with the basics of EM wave interactions with plasma, briefly discuss the methods used to analyze the propagation characteristics of plasma, and its generation. It presents the parametric analysis of propagation behaviour of plasma, and the challenges in the implementation of plasma-based stealth technology. This review serves as a starting point for the graduate and research students, scientists and engineers working in the area of low-observables and stealth technology.

Book excerpt: AICTE sponsored International Virtual Conference on Antenna Design, 5G Communications and Network Technologies (ICA5NT 2020) during the month of November 6-7, 2020 at Velammal Institute of Technology, Chennai. Various cutting edge technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), High Speed Networks, Massive MIMO communication and Antenna design etc. are chosen for discussion and on the application fronts as well. This conference combines three important ingredients to succeed as a technical society developing technology to make our lives better. On one hand, we have the academia in close contact with students, the future engineers that very soon will take over the role of being highly-qualified professionals in technical companies either in India or abroad. On the other hand, we have researchers in industry to show their latest advances to transform research into real products.

Download or read book Electromagnetic Materials Proceedings Of The International Conference On Materials For Advanced Technologies Symposium P written by Hock Lim and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2007-06-20 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The contributions to this volume deliberate the electrical and magnetic properties of materials relevant to the design of unconventional antennas, microwave circuits/components, anti-reflection media and coatings, EMI shielding structures, radomes, etc. Though a classical research topic, some recent advancements in technology have led to new capabilities to create and control fine-scale structures. This has inspired scientists to develop new materials with exceptionally high permittivity or permeability, as well as metamaterials (or negative index materials) with unusual electromagnetic properties. Novel materials based on the use of active devices to control their electromagnetic performance have also been proposed. The multi-disciplinary nature of these new materials has brought together researchers from materials science, physics and electrical engineering to explore and deepen our current understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation. A wide range of new commercial/defence applications of these materials is expected to emerge in the near future.

Download or read book Radar Cross Section written by Eugene F. Knott and published by SciTech Publishing. This book was released on 2004-06-30 with total page 628 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The leading text and reference on radar cross section (RCS) theory and applications, this work presents a comparison of two radar signal strengths. One is the strength of the radar bean sweeping over a target, the other is the strength of the reflected echo senses by the receiver. This book shows how the RCS "gauge" can be predicted for theoretical objects.

Book excerpt: It is hard to imagine a world without electronic communication networks, so dependent have we all become on the networks which now exist and have become part of the fabric of our daily lives. This book presents papers from CECNet 2023, the 13th International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Networks, held as a hybrid event, in person in Macau, China and online via Microsoft Teams, from 17-20 November 2023. This annual conference provides a comprehensive, global forum for experts and participants from academia to exchange ideas and present the results of ongoing research in state-of-the-art areas of electronics technology, communications engineering and technology, wireless communications engineering and technology, and computer engineering and technology. A total of 324 submissions were received for the conference, and those which qualified by virtue of falling under the scope of the conference topics were exhaustively reviewed by program committee members and peer-reviewers, taking into account the breadth and depth of the relevant research topics. The 101 selected contributions included in this book present innovative, original ideas or results of general significance, supported by clear and rigorous reasoning and compelling new light in both evidence and method. Subjects covered divide broadly into 3 categories: electronics technology and VLSI, internet technology and signal processing, and information communication and communication networks. Providing an overview of current research and developments in these rapidly evolving fields, the book will be of interest to all those working with digital communications networks.
