Book Psicoan lisis y g nero

Download or read book Psicoan lisis y g nero written by Irene Meler and published by Paidos Argentina. This book was released on 2017-08-15 with total page 315 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Sigmund Freud Partes de Guerra El Psicoanalisis Y Sus Pasiones written by and published by Gedisa. This book was released on 2021-10-05 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In his collection of essays, leading historian and philosopher of science John Forrester focuses on the life and work of the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. Forrestor discusses aspects of his clinical practice and personal relationships, to shed new light on the so-called «Freudian battles» between his supporters and detractors. What mysteries are hidden in Freud's relationship with his friend and disciple Ferenczi? What significance did his collection of enigmatic antique statuettes have for Freud? What really happened in therapy with the famous «Wolf Man»? Can we speak of a morality of psychoanalytic life? In his exploration of the disputes surrounding psychoanalysis, Forrester uncovers surprising ethical and epistemological aspects of this revolutionary perspective, now consolidated as one of the fundamental pillars of contemporary thought, which the tumultuous debates of a whole century had obscured.

Book excerpt: Award-winning Chilean author Marcela Serrano weaves a beautiful story about the universal connections between women. For nine Chilean women, life couldn't be more different. There is the teenage computer whiz confronting her sexual identity. A middle-aged recluse who prefers the company of her dog over that of most humans. A housekeeper. A celebrity television personality. A woman confronting the loneliness of old age. Of disparate ages and races, these women represent the variety of cultural and social groups that Chile comprises. On the surface, they seem to have nothing in common...except for their beloved therapist, who brings them together. Yet as different as they all are, each woman has a story to share. As the women tell their stories, unlikely common threads are discovered, bonds are formed, and lives are transformed. Their stories form an intricate tale of triumph, heartache, and healing that will resonate with women from all walks of life. An International DUBLIN Literary Award Nominee.

Book Diccionario de la Democracia

Download or read book Diccionario de la Democracia written by Patricio Marcos and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-10 with total page 825 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Jos Carlos Mari tegui

Download or read book Jos Carlos Mari tegui written by Deni Alfaro Rubbo and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2024-09-30 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume explores the life, work, and impact of the Peruvian thinker José Carlos Mariátegui (1894–1930), particularly his political biography, his intellectual production, and his critique of Eurocentrism. This posthumous fame is based on the idea that, in the whole of his political-theoretical project, the relationship between Latin America and Marxism was not built using a mechanical linking of effects and causes, of the blatant copy of the theory produced in Europe, of the immediate application of positivist formulas. In this complex relationship, enigmatic and insinuating, a dissonant historical temporality emerged in Latin America. The apparently unbalanced temporalities marked the matrix of capitalist exploitation, but also present, in Mariátegui’s view, glimmers of future possibilities. This book is essential reading for scholars of social sciences and history interested in understanding the historical roots and political dilemmas of Latin American and European societies from the unique perspective of one of the greatest thinkers of the twentieth century.

Book Dispatches from the Freud Wars

Download or read book Dispatches from the Freud Wars written by John Forrester and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 1997 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this challenging collection of essays, the noted historian and philosopher of science John Forrester delves into the disputes over Freud's dead body. With wit and erudition, he tackles questions central to our psychoanalytic century's ways of thinking and living, including the following: Can one speak of a morality of the psychoanalytic life? Are the lives of both analysts and patients doomed to repeat the incestuous patterns they uncover? What and why did Freud collect? Is a history of psychoanalysis possible? By taking nothing for granted and leaving no cliché of psychobabble--theoretical or popular--unturned, Forrester gives us a sense of the ethical surprises and epistemological riddles that a century of tumultuous psychoanalytical debate has often obscured. In these pages, we explore dreams, history, ethics, political theory, and the motor of psychoanalysis as a scientific movement. Forrester makes us feel that the Freud Wars are not merely a vicious quarrel or a fashionable journalistic talking point for the late twentieth century. This hundred years' war is an index of the cultural and scientific climate of modern times. Freud is indeed a barometer for understanding how we conduct our different lives.
