Book Freud Mentor Tr gico y Extrangero

Download or read book Freud Mentor Tr gico y Extrangero written by Roberto Castro and published by Siglo XXI. This book was released on 1999 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book M s all del principio del placer written by Sigmund Freud and published by Ediciones AKAL. This book was released on 2020-07-13 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Psychoanalysis Group Analysis and Beyond

Download or read book Psychoanalysis Group Analysis and Beyond written by Juan Tubert-Oklander and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-11-11 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychoanalysis, Group Analysis, and Beyond presents an important new paradigm in psychoanalysis and group analysis, presenting the individual and the group as elements of a wider whole and taking socio-political and cultural contexts into account. Juan Tubert-Oklander and Reyna Hernández-Tubert explore the contributions of group analysis to this new perspective, which suggests a holistic conception of the respective status and nature of what the common-sense view of the world conceives as the individual and the community. Part I presents thoughts on the ‘gelding’ of psychoanalysis, focuses on the limitations of classical psychoanalysis, and elaborates on key topics including epistemology, inclusion and exclusion, culture, and the real. Part II considers the reincorporation of what had formerly been excluded, through the theory and practice of group analysis. Finally, Part III bridges the gap, presenting several approaches to the building of the new paradigm that is so sorely needed. Psychoanalysis, Group Analysis, and Beyond will be of great interest to group analysts, psychoanalysts, and psychotherapists in practice and in training, as well as other professionals specializing in group work.

Book The Annual of Psychoanalysis V 24

Download or read book The Annual of Psychoanalysis V 24 written by Jerome A. Winer and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-05-13 with total page 303 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volume 24 of The Annual opens with a memorial tribute to the late Merton M. Gill (1914-1994), a major voice in American psychoanalysis for half a century. Remembrances of Gill by Robert Holt, Robert Wallerstein, Philip Holzman, and Irwin Hoffman are followed by thoughtful appreciations of Gill's final book, Psychoanalysis in Transition: A Personal View (Analytic Press, 1994), by John Gedo, Jerome Oremland, Arnold Richards and Arthur Lynch, Joseph Schachter, and Bhaskar Sripada and Shara Kronmal. Section II offers four papers from a major conference on "Mind/Brain" held in Osaka, Japan. In addition to publishing two clinical papers by the Chicago analyst John Gedo, The Annual introduces readers to two prominent Japanese neuroscientists whose work is relevant to psychoanalysis. Hiroshi Utena links brain development to the individual's freedom to make optimal adaptive choices, whereas Makoto Iwata outlines the modular organization of vision in the brain and then illustrates each modular potential by examining the paintings of four artists: Mondrian, Duchamp, Seurat, and Rothko. Kenneth Newman's sensitive consideration of analyst self-discourse as the outcome of successful management of the countertransference and Frank Summers' astute assessment of the place of self psychology in the history of psychoanalytic ideas are followed by three engaging and instructive studies in applied analysis: Elaine Caruth and Milton Eber's examination of Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo as a metaphoric depiction of the blurring of boundaries in psychotherapy; Frank and Annette Lachmann's study of the creative process of Henrik Ibsen as a self-transformational response to narcissistic injury; and W. W. Meissner's exploration of the role of shame in Vincent van Gogh's life and art. The volume concludes with a provocative contribution to psychoanalytic history: J. Bos's social-constructivist rereading of the Minutes of the Vienna Psycho-Analytic Society with an eye to illuminating why and how psychoanalysis changed during its early years. True to its distinguished lineage, volume 24 of The Annual continues to broaden the conceptual, clinical, and historical vistas of its readers. Moreover, with its revealing reminiscences and substantive appraisals of Merton Gill, this volume becomes a fascinating marker in the very psychoanalytic history it helps recount.

Book Changing Conceptions of Psychoanalysis

Download or read book Changing Conceptions of Psychoanalysis written by Doris K. Silverman and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-04-15 with total page 327 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This outstanding memorial volume records and reassesses the contributions of Merton M. Gill (1914-1994), a principal architect of psychoanalytic theory and a principled exemplar of the modern psychoanalytic sensibility throughout the second half of the 20th century. Critical evaluations of Gill's place in psychoanalysis and a series of personal and professional reminiscences are joined to substantive reengagement of central controversies in which Gill played a key part. These controversies revolve around the "natural science" versus "hermeneutic" orientation in psychoanalysis (Holt, Eagle, Friedman); the status of psychoanalysis as a one-person and/or two-person psychology (Jacobs, Silverman); pyschoanalysis versus psychotherapy (Wallerstein, Migone, Gedo); and the meaning and use of transference (Kernberg, Wolitzky, Cooper).

Book Cuando los que escuchan hablan

Download or read book Cuando los que escuchan hablan written by María Esther Gilio and published by Libros del Zorzal. This book was released on 2020-09-25 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Becoming Reinaldo Arenas

Download or read book Becoming Reinaldo Arenas written by Jorge Olivares and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2013-04-11 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Becoming Reinaldo Arenas explores the life and work of the Cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas (1943–1990), who emerged on the Latin American cultural scene in the 1960s and quickly achieved literary fame. Yet as a political dissident and an openly gay man, Arenas also experienced discrimination and persecution; he produced much of his work amid political controversy and precarious living conditions. In 1980, having survived ostracism and incarceration in Cuba, he arrived in the United States during the Mariel boatlift. Ten years later, after struggling with poverty and AIDS in New York, Arenas committed suicide. Through insightful close readings of a selection of Arenas's works, including unpublished manuscripts and correspondence, Olivares examines the writer's personal, political, and artistic trajectory, focusing on his portrayals of family, sexuality, exile, and nostalgia. He documents Arenas's critical engagement with cultural and political developments in revolutionary Cuba and investigates the ways in which Arenas challenged literary and national norms. Olivares's analysis shows how Arenas drew on his life experiences to offer revealing perspectives on the Cuban Revolution, the struggles of Cuban exiles, and the politics of sexuality.
