Download or read book El espejismo de la educaci n ambiental written by Susana Calvo and published by Ediciones Morata. This book was released on 2007-01 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book L educazione ambientale Laboratori nella scuola primaria

Download or read book L educazione ambientale Laboratori nella scuola primaria written by Adriano Sofo and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-12-03 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book La didattica laboratoriale nell educazione ambientale

Download or read book La didattica laboratoriale nell educazione ambientale written by Adriano Sofo and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-12-03 with total page 157 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book The Transition Timeline for a Local Resilient Future written by Shaun Chamberlin and published by Chelsea Green Publishing. This book was released on 2009 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Transition Timeline lightens the fear of our uncertain future, providing a map of what we are facing and the different pathways available to us. It describes four possible scenarios for the UK and world over the next twenty years, ranging from Denial, in which we reap the consequences of failing to acknowledge and respond to our environmental challenges, to the Transition Vision, in which we shift our cultural assumptions to fit our circumstances and move into a more fulfilling, lower energy world. The practical, realistic details of this Transition Vision are examined in depth, covering key areas such as food, energy, demographics, transport and healthcare, and they provide a sense of context for communities working towards a thriving future. The book also provides a detailed and accessible update on climate change and peak oil and the interactions between them, including their impacts in the UK, present and future.Use it. Choose your path, and then make that future real with your actions, individually and with your community. As Rob Hopkins outlines in his foreword, there is a rapidly spreading movement addressing these challenges, and it needs you.

Book Globalization and the Decolonial Option

Download or read book Globalization and the Decolonial Option written by Walter D. Mignolo and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-10-18 with total page 423 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first book in English profiling the work of a research collective that evolved around the notion of "coloniality", understood as the hidden agenda and the darker side of modernity and whose members are based in South America and the United States. The project called for an understanding of modernity not from modernity itself but from its darker side, coloniality, and proposes the de-colonization of knowledge as an epistemological restitution with political and ethical implications. Epistemic decolonization, or de-coloniality, becomes the horizon to imagine and act toward global futures in which the notion of a political enemy is replaced by intercultural communication and towards an-other rationality that puts life first and that places institutions at its service, rather than the other way around. The volume is profoundly inter- and trans-disciplinary, with authors writing from many intellectual, transdisciplinary, and institutional spaces. This book was published as a special issue of Cultural Studies.

Book Phenomenology and the Human Positioning in the Cosmos

Download or read book Phenomenology and the Human Positioning in the Cosmos written by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-10-24 with total page 397 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The classic conception of human transcendental consciousness assumes its self-supporting existential status within the horizon of life-world, nature and earth. Yet this assumed absoluteness does not entail the nature of its powers, neither their constitutive force. This latter call for an existential source reaching beyond the generative life-world network. Transcendental consciousness, having lost its absolute status (its point of reference) it is the role of the logos to lay down the harmonious positioning in the cosmic sphere of the all, establishing an original foundation of phenomenology in the primogenital ontopoiesis of life.

Book Stewardship of Future Drylands and Climate Change in the Global South

Download or read book Stewardship of Future Drylands and Climate Change in the Global South written by Simone Lucatello and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2019-10-10 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume integrates a conceptual framework with participatory methodologies to understand the complexities of dryland socio-ecological systems, and to address challenges and opportunities for stewardship of future drylands and climate change in the global south. Through several case studies, the book offers a transdisciplinary and participatory approach to understand the complexity of socio-ecological systems, to co-produce accurate resource management plans for sustained stewardship, and to drive social learning and polycentric governance. This systemic framework permits the study of human-nature interrelationships through time and in particular contexts, with a focus on achieving progress in accordance with the 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development. The book is divided into four main sections: 1) drylands and socio-ecological systems, 2) transdisciplinarity in drylands, 3) interculturality in drylands, and 4) the governance of drylands. Expert contributors address topics such as pastoralism and the characteristics of successful agricultural lands, the sustainable development goals and drylands, dryland modernization, and arid land governance with a focus on Mexico. The volume will be of interest to dryland researchers, sustainable development practitioners and policymakers.
