La resolución de los ejercicios está explicada de forma detallada por el método analítico y contrastada mediante el método gráfico. Se determinan los parámetros cinemáticos y su correspondiente comportamiento dinámico. Estos aspectos representan el planteamiento preliminar a la hora de diseñar una máquina, con la que se desea realizar un trabajo útil. Nota biográfica (Español / Castellano): La trayectoria docente de los autores se ha desarrollado dentro del grado de Ingeniería mecánica, impartiendo teoría y prácticas de las asignaturas troncales de Tecnología de fabricación y Teoría de máquinas y mecanismos. Se han realizado actividades de coordinador de asignatura y en trabajos de innovación docente. Se ha participado en las asignaturas optativas de Simulación de máquinas y procesos, y de Fabricación por mecanizado. Se han dirigido diversos trabajos de fin de grado en un amplio abanico de temas. La participación en congresos de educación en la ingeniería ha permitido aplicar métodos didácticos en el aprendizaje. La línea de investigación se centra en procesos avanzados de fabricación y el análisis y control de mecanismos. Se han publicado un gran número de artículos JCR y comunicaciones en congresos nacionales e internacionales. Todos los autores pertenecen al grupo de investigación TECNOFAB, reconocido como grupo SGR de investigación de calidad (expediente: 2014 SGR 1571).

In Without Criteria, Steven Shaviro proposes and explores a philosophical fantasy: imagine a world in which Alfred North Whitehead takes the place of Martin Heidegger. What if Whitehead, instead of Heidegger, had set the agenda for postmodern thought? Heidegger asks, “Why is there something, rather than nothing?” Whitehead asks, “How is it that there is always something new?” In a world where everything from popular music to DNA is being sampled and recombined, argues Shaviro, Whitehead's question is the truly urgent one. Without Criteria is Shaviro's experiment in rethinking postmodern theory, especially the theory of aesthetics, from a point of view that hearkens back to Whitehead rather than Heidegger. In working through the ideas of Whitehead and Deleuze, Shaviro also appeals to Kant, arguing that certain aspects of Kant's thought pave the way for the philosophical “constructivism” embraced by both Whitehead and Deleuze. Kant, Whitehead, and Deleuze are not commonly grouped together, but the juxtaposition of them in Without Criteria helps to shed light on a variety of issues that are of concern to contemporary art and media practices.

Book excerpt: Confirming his moniker as “America’s philosopher of democracy,” John Dewey engaged in a series of public debates over the course of his lifetime, vividly demonstrating how his thought translates into action. These debates made Dewey a household name and a renowned public intellectual during the early to mid-twentieth century, a time when the United States fought two World Wars, struggled through an economic depression, experienced explosive economic growth and spawned a grassroots movement that characterized an entire era: Progressivism. Unfortunately, much recent Dewey scholarship neglects to situate Dewey’s ideas in the broader context of his activities and engagements as a public intellectual. This project charts a path through two of Dewey’s actual debates with his contemporaries, Leon Trotsky and Robert Hutchins, to two reconstructed debates with contemporary intellectuals, E.D. Hirsch and Robert Talisse, both of whom criticized Dewey’s ideas long after the American philosopher’s death and, finally, to two recent debates, one on home schooling and the other on U.S. foreign policy, in which Dewey’s ideas offer a unique and compelling vision of a way forward.

By confronting the central civilizations in history, the egalitarian, life-oriented matriarchal one, and the hierarchical, nature and life dominating, hostile patriarchal one, we see that 5000 years of patriarchy have «replaced» matriarchies and nature itself by a «progressive» counter-world of «capital». This transformation characterizes «capitalist patriarchy» including «socialism». Its demise is due to the «alchemical» destruction of the world's resources, thought of, theologically legitimized and fetishized as «creation». This violence is not recognized. Elites have, instead, begun with a new «military alchemy», treating the whole Planet as weapon of mass destruction. Hence, the «Planetary Movement for Mother Earth».

Embracing a view of identity as a construct firmly grounded in discourse and interaction, the author examines and illustrates the multiple threads that connect the local expression and negotiation of identity to the wider social contexts that frame the experience of migration, from material conditions of life in the United States to mainstream discourses about race and color.
