Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intended as a continuing story, the book "Goodnight Stories of a Little Apple Tree" consists of 27 individual stories, each of which can serve as a single short story after which kids can easily fall asleep. The stories center around an apple tree that emerges from a carelessly discarded apple, how it grows up and the dangerous situations it has to survive before it can turn into a tree that bears fruit and can withstand even the strongest of storms. Friendship, trust and mutual help are the main themes of the stories in which the little apple tree also discovers that some things are different from what they seem to be at first sight. A book to be read to children, age 4 through 9. German version (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0050VQW2O) has more than 140 customer reviews (as of 01. October 2018) with an average of 4.8 of 5 stars. ASIN: B00LAFKWVQ A Talk with the Bee Buzzy (currently available only in German): written in form of an interview, the book answers many questions around bees, bee colonies and beekeeping. ASIN: B07FDNDBZN About the author: The author, a physicist and engineer by profession, was born in 1966. He started writing stories in order to entertain his children and to teach them the joy of reading and writing. And it was the children who could decide which characters would appear in the stories. Being adolescents now, the author's children motivated him to publish the Goodnight Stories of a Little Apple Tree and encouraged him to write more books for children. While the children's book "Paul's Little Angel, Paul's Little Devil" is about problems familiar to all parents when bringing up kids, the children's book "A Talk with the Bee Buzzy" is written in the form of an interview, drawing on the author's previous experience as a beekeeper. This book was released on 2020-11-23 with total page 637 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Royal Flash Flashman in Deutschland

Download or read book Royal Flash Flashman in Deutschland written by George MacDonald Fraser and published by Kuebler Verlag GmbH. This book was released on 2011 with total page 333 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Die Metaphysik und das Gute written by Wouter Goris and published by Peeters Publishers. This book was released on 1999 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Die Wende Von Der Aufkl rung Zur Romantik 1760 1820

Download or read book Die Wende Von Der Aufkl rung Zur Romantik 1760 1820 written by Horst Albert Glaser and published by John Benjamins Publishing. This book was released on 2000 with total page 784 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is the twelfth to date in a series of works in French or English presenting the epochs and movements of a Comparative History of Literatures in European Languages (Histoire Comparée des Littératures de Langues Européennes). The original intention of the editors was to publish a four-volume history of European literature from 1760-1820, and the first of these volumes, Des Lumières au Romantisme. Genres en Vers, appeared as long ago as 1982. The volumes Genres en Prose and Théâtre are still awaited. In their absence the present volume, Epoche im _berblick, attempts a more comprehensive and rigorous treatment of the period and its historiographical problems than was initially planned, providing the reader with an overview of sixty eventful years of European literary history — years in which German Classicism coincided with the birth, initially in Germany and England, of Romanticism. And at the centre of this turbulent period of European intellectual and literary history stands the French Revolution.

Book Latin Literatures of Medieval and Early Modern Times in Europe and Beyond

Download or read book Latin Literatures of Medieval and Early Modern Times in Europe and Beyond written by Francesco Stella and published by John Benjamins Publishing Company. This book was released on 2024-07-15 with total page 726 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The textual heritage of Medieval Latin is one of the greatest reservoirs of human culture. Repertories list more than 16,000 authors from about 20 modern countries. Until now, there has been no introduction to this world in its full geographical extension. Forty contributors fill this gap by adopting a new perspective, making available to specialists (but also to the interested public) new materials and insights. The project presents an overview of Medieval (and post-medieval) Latin Literatures as a global phenomenon including both Europe and extra-European regions. It serves as an introduction to medieval Latin's complex and multi-layered culture, whose attraction has been underestimated until now. Traditional overviews mostly flatten specificities, yet in many countries medieval Latin literature is still studied with reference to the local history. Thus the first section presents 20 regional surveys, including chapters on authors and works of Latin Literature in Eastern, Central and Northern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. Subsequent chapters highlight shared patterns of circulation, adaptation, and exchange, and underline the appeal of medieval intermediality, as evidenced in manuscripts, maps, scientific treatises and iconotexts, and its performativity in narrations, theatre, sermons and music. The last section deals with literary “interfaces,” that is motifs or characters that exemplify the double-sided or the long-term transformations of medieval Latin mythologemes in vernacular culture, both early modern and modern, such as the legends about King Arthur, Faust, and Hamlet.
