Book Effect of Combined Deformation and Heat Treatment on Properties of Aluminum Alloys Vlnyanie Sovmeshchennoi Deformatsionno Termicheskoi Obrabotki Na Svoistva Alyuminievykh Splavov

Download or read book Effect of Combined Deformation and Heat Treatment on Properties of Aluminum Alloys Vlnyanie Sovmeshchennoi Deformatsionno Termicheskoi Obrabotki Na Svoistva Alyuminievykh Splavov written by M. Kh Rabinovich and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 21 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The effects of combined treatment on the properties and structure of a broad class of alloys are investigated. The results of tests indicate that combined treatment has a negative effect on alloys in the freshly annealed state. The hardness of alloys after deformation at the temperature of normal hardening with subsequent rapid cooling was less than that of the same alloys after only quenching. (Author).

Book Effect of Plastic Deformation on Subsequent Decomposition in Aluminum Alloys Al Si and Al Mg Si

Download or read book Effect of Plastic Deformation on Subsequent Decomposition in Aluminum Alloys Al Si and Al Mg Si written by Nikolaĭ Nikolaevich Buĭnov and published by . This book was released on 1953 with total page 8 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The effect of plastic deformation on subsequent decomposition in the alloys Al-Si (1.2 percent Si) and Al-Mg-Si (1.4 percent Mg2Si) was studied with an electron microscope. These alloys were chosen because the first is easily quenched and does not age at room temperature and because in the second no decomposition after quenching and natural aging is detected with the electron microscope (although the properties change). These alloys were chosen also because they could be studied by the oxide-film method. This method was used to study the surface of the samples, which was etched before deformation and aging. It is then possible to observe simultaneously, on the electron photographs, precipitation, the block structure, and those alterations (slip lines, bending of blocks, cracks, etc.) in the submicroscopic structure of the alloys which are caused by deformation.

Book Hot Deformation and Processing of Aluminum Alloys

Download or read book Hot Deformation and Processing of Aluminum Alloys written by Hugh J. McQueen and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2016-04-19 with total page 596 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive treatise on the hot working of aluminum and its alloys, Hot Deformation and Processing of Aluminum Alloys details the possible microstructural developments that can occur with hot deformation of various alloys, as well as the kind of mechanical properties that can be anticipated. The authors take great care to explain and differenti

Book Influence of the Precipitation state on the Thermal Stability of Severely Deformed Aluminum Alloys

Download or read book Influence of the Precipitation state on the Thermal Stability of Severely Deformed Aluminum Alloys written by Rolf Berghammer and published by Cuvillier Verlag. This book was released on 2014-10-29 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A promising way to increase the strength of aluminum alloys is by grain refinement. Therefore the production of so-called ultra-fine grained (UFG) microstructures by severe plastic deformation (SPD) is a very interesting topic. One of the most common SPD processes is Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP), which was compared to Confined Channel Die Pressing (CCDP) and cold rolling. In the focus of this work lays on the one hand the influence of different precipitation states on the formation of UFG structures and their influence on the mechanical properties and on the other hand it was examined if the thermal stability of these structures can be improved either by supersaturated solid solution(by impurity drag) or by precipitates (by grain boundary pinning). With a better understanding of the ongoing softening mechanisms a good combination of high strength and good ductility can be achievedby alternating SPD and heat treatment.
