Múltiples estudios han concluido, sobre todo, desde el avance de la Neurociencia y su aplicación al aprendizaje, así como la aparición de conceptos como la “inteligencia emocional” y las “inteligencias múltiples”, lo importante que son para este proceso las emociones y los sentimientos, el comprenderlas, sentirlas, gestionarlas, exteriorizarlas y controlarlas, esto último no como una “prohibición” sino como una necesidad para el desarrollo integral del individuo, que tanto se persigue, pero que en ocasiones, a veces inconscientemente, se limita. Tras un recorrido histórico por las diferentes leyes educativas con la intención de observar como ha sido tratado el tema que nos ocupa, se ha observado que efectivamente el papel que juegan en la educación es limitado, no es hasta estos últimos tiempos, cuando ya comienzan a contemplarse de un modo explicito y con la convicción de la necesidad enunciada al principio. Es más frecuente su consideración en edades tempranas, que podríamos situar a nivel escolar en la Educación Infantil y Primaria, pero parece irse olvidando paulatinamente en algunos casos o drásticamente en otros, en edades más avanzas. Por ello, el presente trabajo recoge un Proyecto para la incorporación de la Educación emocional en nuestras aulas, centrada en el trabajo de las emociones y sentimientos en niveles de Educación Secundaria, sin olvidar, que lo ideal es disponer de este tipo de aprendizaje en todos los niveles educativos, entendiendo todos del mismo modo que entendemos la educación, para toda la vida.

In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems. As they reached out to schools, universities not only generated clear and valuable innovations to sustain educational opportunity and to improve it, this process also contributed to transform internal university processes in ways that enhanced their own ability to deliver on the third mission of outreach
