He smiled as he saw that it was evidently meant to look like the Mayor of the village, it was so fat and pompous.'Look, Marusha!' he cried to the old wife. Now there were many, many lovely fountains in the wood where the Queen and other people went to drink at the spring; so the Queen asked her ladies to lead the others away to these fountains to amuse themselves, and leave her alone. Then, when they had all withdrawn, she bewailed in a plaintive voice.
