Book excerpt: “Chevonne invites you to walk with her through part of her life-journey, with all its wretchedness and heartaches and all its thrills (the saving power of the Holy Spirit)! Praise the Lord!” ~ Fr Marshall F., former parish priest of Church of the Immaculate Conception ________________________________________________________ The Wise Preacher (King Solomon) says in Ecclesiastes 1: 9 that there is nothing new under the sun. That which has been, is what will be, that which is done is what will be done; yet all of us go through the vagaries of life and it can trouble us, place us in a position of despair and hopelessness, a hell on earth. However, Chevonne McGregor’s life experience in this book can offer us hope as she has finally found her ‘Heaven on Earth’ and it begins with a relationship with this wonderful God who revealed Himself to us through his son Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”[a] 10 But[b] it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. ~Asher Ang – KCC Ministry Acts 20:24 New Living Translation (NLT) 24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Twice a year a festival was held at the large waterfall, where travellers would meet to share stories and wed. Other than the occasional trapper and the two festivals Rowanlee had only her grandmother, so interaction with outsiders was rare and if possible shy Rowanlee would hide from visitors. The aversion to strangers was one of the problems she had when she suddenly found herself in another realm (Tonaye a twin realm). From the time she reached the age of 12 winters she had dreams of a white city and an arena, but each time the dream changed slightly, sometimes she would reach a huge palace and other times the smelly streets of the city, but somehow that dream one day could be a reality. Having entered a cave to hide from a snowstorm, Rowanlee slipped on the wet ground and woke in Tonaye. Now she must discover who she is, the powers she had to hide all her childhood would now be used before many people as time goes by. She has a time constraint; Rowanlee must reach Thornytonaye, the name of the white city of her dreams by her 18th birthday, by the time the moon reaches its summit. Wolves greet her and take her deep into a forest, a winged horse then meets her to take her out of the forest and to the river she will follow to get to the city, along the way she makes new friends and foes, and a troupe of soldiers that escort her almost to the city itself, she must enter alone of her learning will not be complete, the captain of the soldiers tries to foil her attempts to leave them and hiders her from reaching her goals, but his motives are far from sinister.

Then his family learns of their hidden connection to an ancient alien race and civilization… and their place among them. The Code of the Universe follows Peter, Samuel, and finally Arthur as they absorb their true origins and heritage, taking their place within the secretive society of Sumeria—hidden away on Earth, separate from humanity, for millennia. Arthur eventually takes over for Samuel as Duke and blazes his own trail of exploration and betterment of societies with abilities that no Sumerian has demonstrated before. He carries his Code of the Universe out into the cosmos. He finds love and heartache. Arthur thrives in his own unique way and helps others do the same.

Perfect for fans of Elizabeth Lim, Kalynn Bayron and the films of Studio Ghibli. Kurara has never known any other life than being a servant onboard the Midori, a flying ship serving the military elite of the Mikoshiman Empire, a vast realm of floating cities. Kurara also has a secret — she can make folded paper figures come to life with a flick of her finger. But when the Midori is attacked and Kurara's secret turns out to be a power treasured across the empire, a gut-wrenching escape leads her to the gruff Himura, who takes her under his wing. Under Himura's tutelage, and with the grudging support and friendship of his crew, Kurara learns to hunt shikigami — wild paper spirits sought after by the Princess of Mikoshima. But what does the princess really want with the shikigami? Are they merely enchanted figures without will or thought, or are they beings with souls and minds of their own? As fractures begin to appear both across the empire and within Kurara's understanding of herself, Kurara will have to decide who she can trust. Her fate, and the fate of her friends — and even the world — may rest on her choice. And time is running out.

Book Who was Kit Marlowe

Download or read book Who was Kit Marlowe written by Della Hilton and published by London : Weidenfeld and Nicolson. This book was released on 1977 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Sixteenth century playwright and poet Christopher Marlowe has been the subject of much speculation and analysis, some of which has over-emphasized aspects of his career and inhibited appreciation of his works. Because it has been discovered that he, like many patriotic youths in the year before that Spanish Armada attacked England, did service for Sir Francis Walsingham's spy organization, he has been elevated into a fully fledged spy. His three appearances in law courts are taken to suggest 'lawlessness', while many similar experiences of contemporaries like Shakespeare and Jonson are not considered as comparisons. And because he twice wrote about homosexuality, though other playwrights like Drayton also chose this subject, he has been dubbed homosexual. But while the images of a lawless homosexual spy may have a certain appeal, it ignores much that is now known about Marlowe. Of his genius as a playwright there has never been an y question: together with the actor Edward Alleyn, who starred in his plays, he was the catalyst for the explosion of Elizabethan drama, at a time when the acting companies were becoming legal under patronage, and theatres were being built to house their performances. As a disseminator of Renaissance ideas he was paralleled only by Raleigh, Bacon and Shakespeare. But this re-assessment of his character, made in the light of recently discovered information about his private life and the manner of his death, redresses the balance in favour of a man of warmth and moderation, infinitely more interesting than the imaginary character we have come to recognize as the real Christopher Marlowe." -Publisher.
