Download or read book A Private Family Matter written by Herve Jaubert and published by Herve Jaubert. This book was released on 2023-06-15 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Captain Herve Jaubert breaks his silence in this explosive true story of Princess Latifa with stunning revelations. Princess Latifa had planned to escape from the Maktoums’ stranglehold for her whole life. She knew the risk of running for freedom. She would have died trying rather than live in submission. When she escaped from Dubai on February 24, 2018, with the help of former French spy Herve Jaubert, Sheikh Mohammed launched a military attack against a US private yacht never seen in maritime history. Latifa is no ordinary princess; she is a tigress; she fought to scream, bite, and kick the Indian commandos who stormed the American yacht where she had taken refuge. They kidnapped her with everyone onboard and took her back to the clenches of her father, the Emir of Dubai. She suffered torture and humiliation because of her determination. Princess Latifa tells us how Sheikh Mohammed sees himself above the law for kidnapping princesses from the streets in the UK or a vessel under US jurisdiction and disappearing others who tried. Her story shows a pattern of abuse over the last twenty years, inhuman treatment, kidnapping, and disappearances on the order of His “Highness” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in total impunity. Latifa should be returned to US Jurisdiction, where she was taken from. She believes no adult woman in the 21st century should be under Islamic male “possessionship.” It is laughable for Sheikh Mohammed to call himself a champion of women’s rights when he tortures and imprisons his own daughters. Despite the words her father’s minions put in her mouth, Latifa is not free; she is a modern-day hero who deserves to be praised for what she tried to achieve.
Download or read book Thirty One Days written by Poethics Oblivion Stareyes - Dark Sun and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-07-24 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As Poethics Obilivion Stareyes - Dark Sun, this is my first book of Poetry. I have written Poetry, however, authored by my real name, which is Verlena Sexton-Walker, and as Poethics Oblivion Stareyes and therefore, have published six Poetry Books and all are live. Thirty-One Days was written in the presence of a Spiritual God. I felt as if I was a castaway in such of a new world and thus, my Poetry was a channel of articulation brought from the spiritual realm via the mind by means of meditation. As a Psalmist, which is the qualifier that defines my Poetry, I have scribed Thirty-One Days in an academia presence of insight and theory. Theologically, Thirty-One Days is an anointing of sanctification given by the Spiritual God within a divine aura and with the dignity of a Goddess. Thirty-One Days idolizes the human life formed as a supernatural existence that is prayer based, theologically sound, ministry of the truth, and bound by a higher order to come. Dogmatically, Thirty-One Days captures a doctrine of faith that is shown throughout its poetic verses. Scripturally prepared to a monotheistic belief, Thirty-One Days is mystically written to enrich and enhance the insight to develop foresight via the creation of the Spiritual God who we sense when we call upon the Lord. In all, Thirty-One Days was etched in the State of Michigan by a native Mississippian and therefore, it is a written document of circumstances and situational melodrama that is the factual truth in occurrence in which it is dedicated to those who provided Poethics Oblivion Stareyes - Dark Sun with her poetic stories via poetry, prayer, tall tales, and parables.

Download or read book Perspecta 56 written by Guillermo Acosta Navarrete and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2024-07-23 with total page 281 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exploring architecture as a form of concealment and obfuscation in engendering new ways of understanding, conceptualizing, and reshaping the world. Architecture is the perfect form of camouflage. As buildings recede into the background of everyday life, the myriad forces that shape our natural, social, and political landscapes hide in plain sight. Embedded within the spatial and material organizations of the built environment are ideas of value, hierarchy, and control that tilt the ground and influence perception in the name of endless competing interests. Operating across multiple scales and mediums, architectural camouflage gives familiar form to obscure objectives. Design transforms and encodes our shared environments, from domestic domains to digital territories, through its material practices, aesthetics, and discourses. Immanent in the periphery, architecture’s images are internalized as forms for understanding and reshaping the world. Camouflage, in turn, dwells in the architecture of our collective subconscious. Latent within architecture’s deceptions is a profound capacity to reflect the elusive intentions and surreal ambiguities of our ecological entanglements. In masking hierarchies and shifting sensitivities to what escapes perception, architecture can engender vital questions around the agency and significance of its world-making practices. Mediating with and within the background, architecture can awaken new modes of attention to material and social layers previously unimagined or hidden and engage directly with the mirrored frameworks that define reality. This issue of Perspecta considers the complexities and potentialities of architectural concealment, obfuscation, and mimicry; of the power inherent in architecture’s expanding capacity as media. In the veiled extents of our physical and digital worlds, what is still not found? Contributors APRDELESP and Xavier Nueno Guitart, Ashley Bigham and Erik Herrmann, Esther M. Rules of society, rules of nature and civilization. People can learn to live by those standards, but can their heart understand and live by them too? Our heart is that single organ in our body which doesn't know what's right and wrong, what it knows is to love unconditionally. The book depicts a romantic tale, some charming and some amusing snapshots of a young lady who loses her heart to somebody yet fears admitting her emotions because of the boundary sets of society. But finally, she decides to go against the law laid down by those around her for the love of her life. The book portrays her fantasy of being with somebody, yet sufficiently difficult to be satisfied. As her romantic tale includes many turns. Once in a while destiny so now and again society, there is dependably a barricade in her voyage. And with the passage of time, everything fades away except the love still lingers.
