Book Dreams Can Come True It s Time to Believe in You Tus Sue os Pueden Hacerse Una Realidad Es Tiempo de Creer en Ti

Download or read book Dreams Can Come True It s Time to Believe in You Tus Sue os Pueden Hacerse Una Realidad Es Tiempo de Creer en Ti written by Natasha Parker and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-07 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dreams can come true you just have to make them happen and believe in yourself. More than two years ago I sat on my terrace looking out at my beautiful garden when I suddenly realized there are so many words my children need to hear and all the children of the World. Luisa in her clinic was thinking the same. How had we let time pass so quickly? Why hadn't WE done this before? It was time to make changes. Why should I, Natasha be that frightened little girl of saying, thinking and doing what I wanted to be in life? Why hadnt we heard these words every day. Maybe from circumstances, from beliefs, from being frightened, being ashamed, worrying, were we lacking in character, in strength, in confidence. Why had we accepted limitations, doubts, anger, frustration and fear in our lives and also accept sickness, no more, it's enough, no more sick children? Why hadnt we realized we are wonderful and special just the way we are and that we could achieve everything we wanted in life. Why had Natasha read so many books on how to help her children, attended conferences, workshops to help them so that they wouldnt suffer along their road of life. Luisa and Natasha have looked for the answers everywhere - when they were deep in our hearts and minds all the time. Life and the world has so much to give just hold out your arms and feel with your hands, see it with your eyes, hear it with your ears, think it in your mind and feel it with your heart."

Book Your Dreams Can Come True

Download or read book Your Dreams Can Come True written by David Perry and published by Publish America. This book was released on 2001-04 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many people have such low self-esteem that they don't believe their destiny really matters. They people believe their dreams are too small for anyone to care about, including God. Some even believe that they are unworthy to have their own dreams. Others have come to believe the lie that it is wrong (not God's will) to possess a personal dream. They have no sense of destiny. They even feel they are destined to have no destiny; doomed to nothingness for their entire lives. This book is uniquely written for them, because it is written by "an ordinary unknown to ordinary unknowns." Every book has a familiar theme and overtone that tends to raise the (false) hope that the reader (without exception) can have fame and fortune. This book is widely set apart from all those because it has an underlying definition of success and fulfillment, which is much different than the typical self-help book.

Book A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish

Download or read book A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish written by John Butt and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 533 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: (abridged and revised) This reference grammar offers intermediate and advanced students a reason ably comprehensive guide to the morphology and syntax of educated speech and plain prose in Spain and Latin America at the end of the twentieth century. Spanish is the main, usually the sole official language of twenty-one countries,} and it is set fair to overtake English by the year 2000 in numbers 2 of native speakers. This vast geographical and political diversity ensures that Spanish is a good deal less unified than French, German or even English, the latter more or less internationally standardized according to either American or British norms. Until the 1960s, the criteria of internationally correct Spanish were dictated by the Real Academia Espanola, but the prestige of this institution has now sunk so low that its most solemn decrees are hardly taken seriously - witness the fate of the spelling reforms listed in the Nuevas normas de prosodia y ortograjia, which were supposed to come into force in all Spanish-speaking countries in 1959 and, nearly forty years later, are still selectively ignored by publishers and literate persons everywhere. The fact is that in Spanish 'correctness' is nowadays decided, as it is in all living languages, by the consensus of native speakers; but consensus about linguistic usage is obviously difficult to achieve between more than twenty independent, widely scattered and sometimes mutually hostile countries. Peninsular Spanish is itself in flux.

Book excerpt: A deluxe edition of Bolano’s complete poetry Perhaps surprisingly to some of his fiction fans, Roberto Bolano touted poetry as the superior art form, able to approach an infinity in which “you become infinitely small without disappearing.” When asked, “What makes you believe you’re a better poet than a novelist?” Bolano replied, “The poetry makes me blush less.” The sum of his life’s work in his preferred medium, The Unknown University is a showcase of Bolano’s gift for freely crossing genres, with poems written in prose, stories in verse, and flashes of writing that can hardly be categorized. “Poetry,” he believed, “is braver than anyone.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Drawing upon a personal collection of more than 300 letters exchanged between her parents and other family members across the U.S.-Mexico border, Miroslava Chavez-Garcia recreates and gives meaning to the hope, fear, and longing migrants experienced in their everyday lives both "here" and "there" (aqui y alla). As private sources of communication hidden from public consumption and historical research, the letters provide a rare glimpse into the deeply emotional, personal, and social lives of ordinary Mexican men and women as recorded in their immediate, firsthand accounts. Chavez-Garcia demonstrates not only how migrants struggled to maintain their sense of humanity in el norte but also how those remaining at home made sense of their changing identities in response to the loss of loved ones who sometimes left for weeks, months, or years at a time, or simply never returned. With this richly detailed account, ranging from the Mexican Revolution of the 1910s to the emergence of Silicon Valley in the late 1960s, Chavez-Garcia opens a new window onto the social, economic, political, and cultural developments of the day and recovers the human agency of much maligned migrants in our society today.
