Book excerpt: He controls dreams. Now the Dream King wants to claim me as his own. When everyone in the world fell asleep at exactly the same time and woke up a week later, the world believed it was the start of a rampant plague. They didn't know the half of it. Working in a sleep clinic is hardly the career of dreams, (pun intended) but when the world falls prey to a weird sleeping sickness, my job suddenly becomes ridiculously busy. Not that my asshole of a boss would think to give me the pay rise I deserve. In fact. My life can't get any worse. My bank account is empty, my ex is hooking up with his boss and watching old people sleep is seriously dull. That is until a lethally sexy freaking brute of a man appears in the sleep study and accidentally drags me into the dream world. A world that he owns and rules over. The dark and brooding jerk doesn't want me there, but I'm staying whether he likes it or not if there's a chance it will cure the sickness and my mother who has fallen prey to it. What I'm not expecting is the feelings he begins to ignite in me, just as the tables turn and I become his prisoner. Dream King is the first in the Night Realm series by a new pen name of a USAT bestselling author. This is an enemies to lovers wring-your-heart-out book for fans of Laura Thalassa, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah J. Maas, and C.N. Crawford Scroll up and grab this before the Dream King takes you too.

A must read for all Gold Investors and those interested in the Global Financial Markets. The beauty of Avery is that he has explained all the concepts that go into the 'price management' of Gold, neatly wrapped in a thriller so as to keep the audience riveted." Pavan Mullapudy - Verified Purchase (Kindle Edition) Amazon.in | Dec. 9, 2016 ***** "Exciting and appealing novel, Ludla&mgrave;s style (the author should take this as a huge compliment)... Almost felt ashamed being a banker myself. The author appears to be very well informed of or acquainted with various banking and brokerage activities, both bona and mala fides, as well as with (anti) money laundering operations and regulations. That provides a special touch of genuineness to this story..." Gordana Aleksic | Sep.27, 2016 **** "This is a good story, mostly well written. No doubt there is more than a grain of truth in the way the 'Great and the good' behave with total ruthlessness. Keeping stacking - if you don't know what that means then you should read this book." Unknown Customer - Verified Purchase (Print Edition) Amazon.co.uk |April 30, 2016 | ***** "...It is not everyday that you find a book like that which is exceptionally well written, moves fast, and grips your attention... I had a hard time putting it down... The forward to the novel includes a detailed summary of all the real-world facts that inspired the author to write it." Marla Merlow | Goodreads.com | May 20, 2016 | ***** "This was a good book. Well written and thoughtful. Good balance of action vs.characterization. Characters are deeper than you will find in most thrillers. Educational. Is it fiction or a true story? This I do not know. But, I do know that this is a book worth reading..."Jackie Martin | Aug 16, 2016 | Goodreads.com *****

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Doorway to Illuminations A strange kind of energy was vibrating and whirling through my soul in the early hours of 1 March 2007, raising my normal body frequency. An unusual heat shot up through my body and I was aware of a strange heartbeat. I felt as if I were dying or having a heart attack and I was terrified as no one else was with me. The time was 3 am. Instead of reaching for a glass of water I grabbed a pen and writing pad and sat up in my bed, without consciously exercising my mind. The pen kept writing and scribbling then I started to hear certain words and phrases which I began to repeat out loud. It seemed as if hours and hours had passed and by this time I was so stiff that I could feel pain shooting up my spine. By now I was alert, looking at the piles of paper filled with my scribbling. I was about to collapse so I decided to go and make myself a cup of tea and wash my face. I felt normal again but to my astonishment I discovered that the time was by now 10 am! How on earth had I sat there all those hours without moving! I looked at everything I had written. I couldnt believe it. I had never had any interest at any time in my life in language or poetry, and had never been able to produce fine words or phrases. Yet I had managed to produce an extraordinary poem. My mind was in disbelief. I was so tired and utterly baffled. The next day all my friends and family were shocked at how such a powerful poem had come out of someone like me as I wasnt even born in this country. After a week, another poem came. I was given these two poems for my life story book. I asked whoever was around one night: why and how and who? I remembered that Id had a dream in November 2006 in which my father, who passed away in 2003, told me that a special gift would be given to me and for serving humanity! That was the start of the series of poems which I began writing in March 2007. Up to the present time still more poems have been coming through: I currently have a total of over 40 poems all a gift for humanity. I was instructed to do no more works with individuals but that instead I would need to put my new power and psychic energy to more constructive use for the millions who are in turmoil and in grief and sorrow with all their complications and emotional love traps and more of the dark time which all of us have to go through at some stage of this decaying life. I was also told that it is not my subconscious mind as psychology explains to us: this is a fancy word they use, yet where does that subconscious reside? Call it whatever you like it is not important as its the result which counts: the truth of our evolved spirit within the soul energy which gives us solutions happiness, understanding and unseen intelligence and the iron hand which pulls us out of the black hole of ordinary life with its awesome delusions and earthly domesticated matter It is very important to remember because you are free from every earthly conditioning: you have received a gift. The free spirit is an evolved, illuminated being and progressed mind though not intellectually cultured. That message will be carried with every second I breathe and I shall bring it and give it to all humans who will search one day to discover who they are and why we are born and what the true goal is, but with a free mind and heart. Here are the collection of that gifts of inspiration which I received from the higher being which is far wiser and more intelligent than any human born and any ordinary intellect. Read on and think. We have a collection of poems dictated by the Illuminators (the Emperor of the Soul). You can order it if you want to read them. Many thanks for your time to read the true words of my heart. Book Wagner and Suicide

Download or read book Wagner and Suicide written by John Louis DiGaetani and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2010-06-25 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Composer Richard Wagner (1813-1883) likely suffered from a manic-depressive disorder but in his time very little was known about mental illness, and suicide was not a topic for general discussion. Wagner was often plagued by extreme mood swings; he used his operas, especially the librettos, to express himself and his personal difficulties. This investigation of the suicidal themes in Wagner's life and operas--Die Fliegender Hollander, Tannhauser, Lohengrin, Tristan und Isolde, Die Meistersinger, the Ring cycle, and Parsifal--shows how manic-depressive illness, particularly the depressive part of it, affected Wagner's life and art. It also analyzes the influence of Giambattista Vico's theories of cycles (and how these theories appeared in Wagner's work), suicide as a theatrical and operatic phenomenon, and the way in which the theme of suicide has appeared in other works of the literary and performing arts.
