Il est composé de trois parties. La première est consacrée à l'organisation et à l'évolution de la zone franc. La seconde analyse les transformations liées à la dévaluation et aux réformes réalisées depuis 1994. La troisième dessine les perspectives dans le contexte de mise en place de l'union monétaire européenne et de l'euro.
