Book Don t Pray for Your Boaz Pray for Your Joey

Download or read book Don t Pray for Your Boaz Pray for Your Joey written by Chenelle Jackson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-05-21 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you’re a single mother dating an average joe . . . meh. This book is for you. If you’re a single mom dating someone who doesn’t want kids or can’t see himself raising your children, it’s okay because this book is for you too. If you’re already in a relationship and don’t think it’s leading to marriage, good news. This book is for you and for everyone who needs a little guidance on how to date with children. When I say don’t pray for your Boaz, what am I referring to? Well, I’m glad we both have inquisitive minds. Boaz was a wealthy man who was checking out Ruth, who was poor and had no children and, at the time, was stealing leftover crops. Just know that this is the original Cinderella story from Ruth 4:13–22. Boaz spoke to her one day, and unbeknownst to Ruth, she was speaking with the wealthy landowner. Great story, right? They married and had a child named Obed. Wow. I would like that Cinderella story, where I need help and my knight in shining armor comes with his horse and whisks me away. Well, if you’re reading this preview, that means your story most likely needs to end with a carriage because you have more people riding and being whisked away. Don’t worry, there’s a happy ending for you who has children too—or may I say, a happy beginning. Let’s explore in this book how to get ready for your Joey. Who’s Joey? Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out. At least I’m a pretty decent author and will give you the answer in the introduction. Hint, hint. I also make this self-help nonfiction an easy read. Read it fast, read it slow, read it all over again, and pick your chapter battles—which means you need to really work on those items before you move forward. There’s no right or wrong way to read this book. There’s not a race to finish because you need time to process things. Read this book with expectancy. Read this book with the knowledge of knowing that you, too, can be happy with your Joey. Again, what is or who is Joey? Let’s just say this: it sure isn’t a baby kangaroo. Take this book because you need it. Get one for your single mom friend too. What the heck, start a book club with it. If I can get a PhD in life with a minor in keeping my sanity, then you can too. Get a sip of your favorite drink, sit back, relax, and let me guide you to happiness.

Book excerpt: Have you ever discovered a priceless gem in the most strangest of places? The Boaz Prayer is one such priceless gem you will find in the most strangest of places—hidden in the deep, rugged, dark corners of a place called “nowhere.” Like a rose trampled on the ground, like an oasis in the middle of a parched desert, the Boaz prayer found in the book of Ruth adds elegance, grace and romance to an otherwise depressing milieu. This is especially so when you realize that Ruth lived during the days when the judges governed Israel and utter hopelessness filled the whole land. What an array of hope the Boaz prayer affords to Ruth in particular and then to many generations later. In spite of the bleak conditions of our times we need to be reminded that God still answers Boaz-like prayers. For those who will pray daring prayers, God can still turn their tragedies into triumphs, their tests into testimonies, their defeats into destiny and their mess into a message of Romance, Redemption and Restoration.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise the Lord everyone. This book on prayer was written in dedication to my dad the late Charles D. Smith Sr. and my mom Virginia. Before my dad passed, he prophesied so many powerful words from the Lord into my life. One of the prophecies was to go get my thesis that I wrote on prayer. He said, "It shall be a best seller." Furthermore, he said to me go collect all my journals. These journals will become self-help books that will help nation upon nation. This book on prayer has been written with these prophesies in mind. Like my father, my mom devoted her life to God. She has always been my prayer partner and I thank God for her every day. She is truly a Proverbs 31 woman and a prayer warrior. Her prayers have served as a catalyst for this book and other books to be written. In addition to the prayers and prophecies of my mother and father, my grandmother taught me from a small child to pray. Up until the last time I saw her before God called her home that is what we did. I can recall standing by her hospital bed praying. Like my father, she too prophesied powerful words from the Lord into my spirit. Prayer has been instilled in me. It is out of my life of prayer and prophecy that I wrote this book, "PUSH". I pray that as you read the pages of this book that you will be educated, equipped and encouraged to keep praying until something happens. I just find myself praying all the time. The truth of about prayer is you don't have to speak it out your mouth. You can simply close your eyes, open your heart and talk to God. Just allow the spirit of the living God to have His way in your life. One of the best ways to do this is by praying without ceasing [See 1Thessalonians 5:16]. You can pray at any time or in any place. Dear reader let me tell you through the power of prayer God has done so many good things for my family and me. Now I pray God's blessings upon you as you read this book from the beginning to the end. May God deliver, heal and set you free from whatever is holding you back or standing in your pathway.

Book excerpt: The pages that follow encapsulate the essence of the pathfinding message delivered by brother Theodore Andoseh at the International Students' Bible Camp in September 2020, held in Koumé, Cameroon. In the grand tapestry of faith, the Church stands as a beacon, entrusted with embracing her Lord's Great Commission. In humble prayer, she beseeches the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into His abundant fields. And as her petitions rise, God, in His divine providence, calls and equips individuals to embark on His sacred mission. This book endeavours to construct a framework for understanding missions, intended to guide the Church and its missionaries in their noble work. It serves as an introductory exploration into the mission of Paul and Barnabas, with Paul serving as the primary paradigm for missions in the New Covenant. Through a careful examination of the Scriptures and the author's personal experiences, this book illuminates various facets of missionary work, offering valuable insights into the following themes: Missionary calling Missionary send-forth Missionary team Missionary strategy Missionary work Missionary message Missionary power Missionary conflict Missionary fruit Missionary realignment The author passionately believes that a profound understanding of the Lord's missionary economy can alleviate the burdens of oversight and unleash the full potential of God's missionary purpose. It is our heartfelt prayer that this book, in the hands of those who genuinely care about God's missionary vision, becomes a vessel through which divine blessings flow. May the Lord condescend to use it as an instrument of inspiration and enlightenment, touching the lives of many as they embark on their own transformative journeys of faith.

Book excerpt: PEN/Hemingway Award Winner: An “enthralling” novel of a woman trapped within a tragically dysfunctional family (Entertainment Weekly). From the New York Times–bestselling author of The Excellent Lombards and A Map of the World, this is “an extraordinary story of a family’s disintegration [that] will be compared to Jane Smiley’s A Thousand Acres” (People). It follows Ruth Grey, a young woman in a tiny Illinois farm town, who has lost her father to World War II, and constantly faces her unhappy mother’s wrath—when she isn’t being ignored in favor of her math-prodigy brother. As Ruth navigates her lonely life, she strives to find happiness and pleasure where she can, but the world may conspire to defeat her. “A sly and wistful, if harrowing, human comedy . . . [An] original voice in fiction and one well worth listening to.” —The Boston Sunday Globe “Unforgettably, beat by beat, Hamilton maps the best and worst of the human heart and all the mysterious, uncharted country in between.” —Kirkus Reviews “Hamilton’s story builds to a shocking crescendo. Her small-town characters are as appealingly offbeat and brushed with grace as any found in Alice Hoffman’s or Anne Tyler’s novels.” —Glamour
