Download or read book Fundamentals of Latin for Avid Science and Health Educators and Students written by Nathan Button and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-12 with total page 106 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A major benefit to learning the Latin language is the improvement of one's vocabulary. Many students could benefit from learning Latin to improve their daily vocabulary, but health science students in particular could benefit from the roots that Latin provides. Many medical terms have these Latin roots, and so a fundamental understanding of Latin should aid in the learning of these terms. I have studied Latin for the entirety of my high school career, and for the last two I have taken up health science classes. By combining these two fields, I hope to educate a student who is interested in both the Health Sciences and the Classics. This book was designed as a high school senior project at Mansfield Frontier High School. During this project students are required to take internship hours and create a product.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the creators of @verygaypaint, the immensely popular comedy design brand, A VERY GAY BOOK paints a cheeky and satirical portrait of the world where everything—from sports to science to soup—is gay. Trees are gay. It’s why their branches brush up against each other so softly. Right-handed people are gay because that’s the first hand you use when you do the Macarena. Left-handed people are also gay. Magnets. Palindromes. All gay. A satirical textbook—including sections on history and heroes, customs and traditions—celebrating a very gay world, A Very Gay Book is an invitation to revel in the (both real and absurdly fictional) iconic successes of the LGBTQ+ community.

As "Eclipse" unfolds, the reader is treated to a twisting, constantly changing landscape created by Claudius' own mind, as version after version of what-might-have-happened pile on.One thing is clear, though: Something has gone wrong, and Claudius may never reach the stars.Or will he?

This book was released on 2019-10-12 with total page 11217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A late nineteenth century American author, F. Marion Crawford was a prolific novelist and noted writer of classic weird and fantastic stories. Crawford objected to the prevailing taste for realistic fiction and preferred to write gripping romance fiction. His novels are noted for vivid characterisations and their versatile and colourful depictions of European settings. Many of his works are set in Italy, the country he made his long-time home. His most celebrated achievement is the ‘Saracinesca’ trilogy of novels, which explores the effect of recent social changes on the aristocracy at a time when its influence and status were under attack from the emerging forces of modernity. For the first time in publishing history, this edition presents Crawford’s complete fictional works, with numerous illustrations, rare texts, informative introductions and the usual Delphi bonus material.
