Book Do Not Call 911 first

    Book Details:
  • Author : Jeffrey Dearborn
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2018-01-19
  • ISBN : 9781979561372
  • Pages : 80 pages

Download or read book Do Not Call 911 first written by Jeffrey Dearborn and published by . This book was released on 2018-01-19 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For those who believe car crashes are unavoidable, this book is sometimes just right and sometimes a little too factual. For those who are indestructible, and accident proof this book is useful to give to others, who you know are repeatedly accident prone. While the author believes that the future of this book is an App, he also believes autonomous cars/vehicles are a huge mistake. From his personal encounters, he sees the car or pickup as an extension of the freedoms Americans have, to move unrestricted from one point to another. While this view is largely an American phenomenon, due to vastness of the country, other peoples in other countries will appreciate the attention to detail on what evidence is usually not collected by the people in vehicle accidents, but could be if ONLY.The point of the book is- If you knew you were going to need a specific photograph of something at a crash scene you would take that photo or notes. The reason you don't get that photo is you will be confronted with Your Adrenaline Spike, Angry and Hurt other people, Police and First Responders. None of them care about the evidence you may need later; their concern is the NOW.There seems to be an undercurrent of distrust of the system of police and EMS's and insurance companies. The book takes on the role of Super-Fatherly advice, to ask the accident victim to be prepared for the worst in every situation. In places, the adversarial tone comes through loud and clear, especially to those who have witnessed errors and costly mistakes made by people in authority roles. This book may not make you happy, but you will laugh at the author making his own mistakes recording the events of his recent accidents. The illustration is all too clear, that even the author would be much better off with a hard copy guide than his brain's imperfect memory. And later, when you are encouraged to subscribe to the App (in Development), you may agree with the premise that billion-dollar companies will automatically lie, if they know you can't afford a top attorney firm to represent you. Then, the hammer falls, when you realize these billion-dollar companies really are going to make and put autonomous vehicles on the same street your tax dollars paid for, that these companies will not be financially viable if they pay for every error their computers and CEO's make. The author may be reaching with some of the futurists worries, but if he is not, then you will be glad for the book and the App.The book seems to be based upon fact. If you purchased the eBook, then it is easy to reference the material he sites and decide for yourself if his understanding is accurate. For purchasers of the paperback, your ability to easily link to references is as always clunky.

Book Diaries of the Dark Side

Download or read book Diaries of the Dark Side written by Cassidy O'Connor and published by BLACK OAK MEDIA INC. This book was released on 2011-07 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Young Cassidy O'Connor was an avid researcher of the supernatural. When she found herself involved in a case that was unlike any other, however, she was forced to open her eyes. With the introduction of young Matthew into her life, she began to realize this was not a normal haunting. This was something very different - this was evil. Cassidy dug through layers of historical events and learned how the past can always come back to haunt you. Combining history with folklore, she discovered that what tormented Matthew and his family was not a ghost or a simple whisper, but something out of Hell itself. This is a true, first-person account from the woman who aided that family over a three year period. Not even medical diagnoses, hospitals, or the legal system could explain what plagued Matthew, but Cassidy, without any experience of the demonic, had to prepare herself for the fight. This story is a warning to those who believe that the world of the demonic is something to toy with. It is a warning to those who feel that fame and fortune can come from entering that forbidden world.

Book The Cognitive Bases of Interpersonal Communication

Download or read book The Cognitive Bases of Interpersonal Communication written by Dean E. Hewes and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-12-16 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our interpretations of the world we live in, and the people and institutions that comprise it, are acquired through complex interactions among what we believe to be true, what the world is, and/or what others think it is. Understanding those complex interactions is one of the most important goals of the social sciences. Of the many disciplines that have contributed to that understanding, two take center stage in this book -- psychology and communication. This volume's purpose is to reconnect the partially isolated environments of social psychology and communication. To do so, it utilizes four building blocks: * the cognitive foundations of interpersonal communication as it might be studied from a social psychological perspective * insiders' views of interpersonal communication from a cognitive psychological standpoint * insiders' approaches to interpersonal communication from an AI perspective * a critique of the cognitive enterprise that reflects the strong philosophical grounding of communication. Overall, the chapters typify some of the most interesting cognitive work done in the study of interpersonal communication. As such, the book should promote productive dialogue across disciplinary boundaries and stimulate further work within the field of interpersonal communication.
