Book The Myth of the Six Million

Download or read book The Myth of the Six Million written by David Leslie Hoggan and published by . This book was released on 2007 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the day of its publication, The Myth of the Six Million has generated controversy and heated debate. Prof. David L. Hoggan, the author of this work¿and a history professor at Stanford University at the time it was written¿at first refused to attach his name to the manuscript for fear of academic retribution. The original text was therefore first published under ¿Anonymous.¿ Other publishers deemed the book ¿too hot to handle¿ and refused even to bring it to press. What is it that is so ¿dangerous¿ about this little book? Why has it been suppressed again and again during its short lifetime? And why is it now so important to get the information contained herein out to as many citizens as possible? For answers, we suggest you take a look inside. But understand, one of the gravest crimes any historian can commit in our 21st century thought gulag is that of ¿holocaust denial.¿ In cases where the defendant is accused of this crime, according to judges and prosecutors, ¿truth is no defense.¿ So beware: This book may turn you into a ¿holocaust denier,¿ as you witness the ¿myth of the six million¿ dragged out into the light of honest history. Includes a never-beforepublished insider¿s history of how publisher Willis A. Carto first came across this ¿banned¿ manuscript back in the 1960s. Also includes an enlightening photo section.

Book excerpt: The Ontario & Western?the O&W, or, as both boosters and detractors referred to it in its later years, the ?Old & Weary, ? operated from 1869-1957 and ran from Oswego on Lake Ontario to New York City, passing through the midlands and southern counties of New York State, with spurs to Utica, Kingston, Port Jervis, and Scranton, PA. Filled with colorful characters and miscellaneous machinery, O. & W. chronicles almost a century of alternating hope and heartache, prosperity and poverty, dignity and degradation. Her passing was mourned for a variety of economic and sentimental reasons, but the loss was deeply felt in an intangible way. The rambling, elderly, inefficient, accident-prone, irritating old railroad was a part of a way of life now gone from the American scene.

Download or read book Blood and Politics written by Leonard Zeskind and published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. This book was released on 2009-05-12 with total page 670 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: More than fifteen years in the making, Blood and Politics is the most comprehensive history to date of the white supremacist movement as it has evolved over the past three-plus decades. Leonard Zeskind draws heavily upon court documents, racist publications, and first-person reports, along with his own personal observations. An internationally recognized expert on the subject who received a MacArthur Fellowship for his work, Zeskind ties together seemingly disparate strands—from neo-Nazi skinheads, to Holocaust deniers, to Christian Identity churches, to David Duke, to the militia and beyond. Among these elements, two political strategies—mainstreaming and vanguardism—vie for dominance. Mainstreamers believe that a majority of white Christians will eventually support their cause. Vanguardists build small organizations made up of a highly dedicated cadre and plan a naked seizure of power. Zeskind shows how these factions have evolved into a normative social movement that looks like a demographic slice of white America, mostly blue-collar and working middle class, with lawyers and Ph.D.s among its leaders. When the Cold War ended, traditional conservatives helped birth a new white nationalism, most evident now among anti-immigrant organizations. With the dawn of a new millennium, they are fixated on predictions that white people will lose their majority status and become one minority among many. The book concludes with a look to the future, elucidating the growing threat these groups will pose to coming generations.

Book excerpt: The Forced War is Prof. David L. Hoggan's tour de force on the origins and causes of World War II. This is not a polemic, but a well researched and documented historical work that delves into the hidden diplomatic background of the outbreak of the Germano-Polish War of 1939, which Britain for its own purposes turned into World War II. Prof. Hoggan uses official diplomatic correspondence and reports of the meetings of the various participants, primarily Great Britain, France, Poland and National Socialist Germany. He traces the roots of the conflict from Versailles until the final declaration of War by Great Britain and France upon Germany and their refusal to enter into peace negotiations to stop the war which Lord Halifax and the Tories had skillfully maneuvered Poland into starting with the worthless "Guarantee" given to Poland to induce her leaders to pursue a hard line against Germany in the hopes of conquering German territory and reestablishing a Great Poland as had existed several centuries past. The book is meticulously footnoted, and while a historical work of great depth and breadth is both engaging and easy to read. Prof. Hoggan wrote the work in 1961 and it was originally published in Germany under the title "Der Erzwungene Krieg" (The Forced War) where it gained kudos from academics and laymen alike. If the reader is a history buff of World War II, or simply wishes to know how and why the war happened, this is a book that cannot be missed.

Book excerpt: In 1961 Adolf Eichmann went on trial in Jerusalem for his part in the Nazi persecution and mass murder of Europe’s Jews. For the first time a judicial process focussed on the genocide against the Jews and heard Jewish witnesses to the catastrophe. The trial and the controversies it caused had a profound effect on shaping the collective memory of what became ‘the Holocaust’. This volume, a special issue of the Journal of Israeli History, brings together new research by scholars from Europe, Israel and the USA.
