Download or read book Reveal written by Bhuvana Mandalapu MD and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2013-04 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What makes someone successful? Throughout our lives we may find that any number of things can hold us back; tragedy, grief, financial difficulties, and fear are just some of the reasons we choose not to go after our dreams. We look at those who become great men like Steve Jobs and women like J.K. Rowling and wonder at their great lives. Even so, these people have faced problems of their own and overcome them. What is it within them that makes the difference? In this guide, author and neurologist Bhuvana Mandalapu advocates the constant practice of basic concepts such as don't give up, let it go, and moderation. Living by these rules helps us take advantage of the neuroplasticity of our minds in order to train ourselves to become successful. This consistent practice teaches us to accept our faults and shortcomings in order to bring them into harmony with our strengths and abilities. Simultaneously, as we continue this consistent practice, we can achieve harmony between our conscious and subconscious minds, resulting in a kind of super-consciousness that can help us dominate adversity and achieve even our most incredible goals.
Download or read book Dying the Good Death written by Donnica L. Brown Pierre RN and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-10-06 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Eternally, from struggles to serenity, from a jaded life to joy and jubilation in heaven, I pray that this book will invoke the tough conversations regarding being prepared financially for final arrangements and discussing end-of-life wishes. Both living wills and materialistic wills are important. Planning certainly helps the survivors cope better, and this book will help you to see the importance of preparation. I sincerely hope that my work will become a cornerstone for learning across this nation. This book was not easy to compile because it evoked many repressed memories that I thought was better to forget, but God said different. God said to share my knowledge with all who has an ear and will hear. I pray that the case studies will be demonstrative that not every journey is similar but very unique. In my experience, no two people have ever died alike. This book is spiritually based in that I reference biblical Scriptures because this is how I have managed my hospice goals and journey. God has divinely provided me with the knowledge to survive twenty-one years of hospice. He has also provided me the courage and wisdom to author this book! If I can increase the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of different cultures, races, and human beings, then I truly believe that God will be pleased with my obedience to fulfill his desires for this particular purpose of my life. 2

Download or read book Fake or Follower written by Andi Andrew and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2018-10-02 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We live in a culture where many identify as "Christian" without fully embracing what it looks like to follow Jesus day-in and day-out. After gathering on a Sunday, do we simply go about our business, void of true transformation? Is the gospel simply a self-help tool, the church just a place where our needs can be met? It's time to ask ourselves, "Am I really following Jesus? Or am I just faking it?" With eye-opening personal stories, Scripture, and thought-provoking questions, Andi Andrew lovingly invites readers to examine their hearts to discover whether their faith is a genuine, life-giving marriage of belief and practice in response to Christ's life and sacrifice, or if it is just a lifestyle choice on par with any other. She encourages readers to surrender their whole lives to Jesus daily, grapple with hard questions they may have been avoiding, and discover a life fully alive, following in the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ.
