The authors argue that society is in denial about the vulnerability of disabled children. The third study deals with the most vulnerable group of children - those in prison - at a time when the issue is highly topical. The study covers the extent to which children and young people are imprisoned and discusses their conditions and rights in prison. Despite recent attempts to improve the latter, it concludes, as did People Like Us, that 'prison is no place for children'.
