Es aussert sich nicht nur in der Beteiligung an den zahlreichen Luftschiffer-Vereinen und Aero-Klubs, an den Auffahrten und wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen etc., sondern wird auch betatigt durch die zahlreichen, stets wiederkehrenden Projekte, Anfragen und Nachrichten aus dem Laien-Publikum. Die Erfahrung lehrt, wie schwierig es solchen Personen, welche nicht fachmannisch gebildet sind, wird, aus dem grossen Wuste der widersprechendsten Nachrichten sich zurecht zu finden. Es war daher meine Absicht, in einer allgemein verstandlichen Weise den Umfang und das Wesen der aeronautischen Bestrebungen der letzten Jahre zu erlautern, den Leser mit den hervorragenderen Leistungen auf dem Gebiete des sogenannten Kunstfahrens bekannt zu machen und ihn in weiterer Folge uber die Bestrebungen der Aeronautik (Ballontechnik) und Aviatik (Flugtechnik) der allerletzten Jahre zu informieren.
