Book Die Kunstsammlung Der Schrank Von Ramon Haze

Download or read book Die Kunstsammlung Der Schrank Von Ramon Haze written by Andreas Grahl and published by Spector Books. This book was released on 2019-03 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Art Collection the Cabinet of Ramon Haze is the legacy of an art detective, collector, and artist who rediscovered the art of the twentieth century. The collection itself is a post-historical fiction, created in the mid-1990s, compiled by artists Holmer Feldmann and Andreas Grahl and originally shown in the basement of a disused factory in Leipzig. Of all the fictions that artists have created in recent years, that of Ramon Haze and his (future) cabinet of art of the twentieth century is probably the most disconcerting. The annotated catalogue raisonné designed by Markus Dreßen in the year 1999 - and the first book to have the Spector logo on its cover - is published in conjunction with the exhibition The Cabinet of Ramon Haze. It appears in a new expanded edition, supplemented by four positions and photographs of the installations in the Museum Abteiberg. 00Exhibition: Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach, Germany (11.11.2018 - 28.04.2019).

Book excerpt: The artist Dierk Schmidt (Unna, 1965) makes use of the aesthetic and the visual to disrupt positivist and liner concepts of history with respect to the omissions and violence in colonial narratives -- one of the core themes running through his work, along with a need for the restitution of plundered objects and the related international law -- the manipulation of museum discourses and the contrived and dramatic state of televised politics. 0The retrospective held by the Museo Reina Sofía assembles some of Schmidt?s most ambitious projects as 'The Division of the Earth' or 'Broken Windows' and concludes with a site-specific project related to the role of the Palacio de Velázquez -- where the show is displayed -- directly after it was built in 1883 and in view of its housing, in 1887, part of the monographic exhibition of the Philippines, Mariana and Caroline Islands, before becoming the 'Biblioteca y Museo de Ultramar' (the Museum-Library of the Overseas).00Exhibition: Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain (09.10.2018-10.03.2019).
