Book excerpt: Margaret de Lambert married Johnne Dyckinson (d.1316) in 1260 in Hull (later Kingston-upon-Hull), Yorkshire, England. She was a direct descendant of immigrants from Bohemia via France (traced to several generations before 1015 A.D.). The Dickinson line is traced back to 495 A.D. in England. Nathaniel Dickinson (1600-1676), son of William Dickinson, immigrated from England to Watertown, Massachusetts (with two brothers, John and Thomas). He married Anne, widow of William Gull, in 1630, and moved to Wethersfield, Connecticut in 1630. They had ten children. Other immigrant Dickinson individuals are also listed. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Arkansas and elsewhere. Includes many Lambert and Dickinson descendants and relatives who continued to live in England and Ireland after immigration to the United States began.
