He had summoned two wicked beings to aid him in his apocalyptic mission: The Betrayer and the Shadow. Burning flames and shimmering ice raided the lands in the Illuminator's absence. So, in order to put a stop to Forgelon and his minions, the Illuminator sealed Forgelon away in an empty realm that would be his prison forever. As for the two dark beings, the Knight only had enough power left to seal them away temporarily...until another of his kind was born. The cycle continued through the ages. It is now the present day and Colton Parson, an eighteen year old high school graduate, has no idea of his true identity. His father, Jared and the entire town of Belington, West Virginia have a dark secret in order to bring them safety from the truth: Colton is to become the next Illuminator. Upon discovering his Grandfather's journal and an old necklace, Colton begins to dream of a cryptic beauty named Santrony who reveals to him the truth of his destiny and a world far more dangerous than he could ever imagine.
