Book excerpt: Subsequent reports should cover performance measurement of specific public health functions, as defined in the Mandatory Health Program and Service Guidelines (MHPSG) of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), to provide information to program managers for quality improvement and improved resource allocation, and to funders, such as local municipalities and the provincial Public Health [...] Similar to other health sectors, the task of measuring and reporting on public health performance should be shared among a variety of agencies, and led by the Public Health Division of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Association of Local Public Health Agencies, and the Ontario Public Health Association.
