Book Deterministic Analysis of the Effects of Sensor Errors on Strapped Down INS Performance

Download or read book Deterministic Analysis of the Effects of Sensor Errors on Strapped Down INS Performance written by Richard H. Reynolds and published by . This book was released on 1979 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The operation of a strapped-down inertial navigation system in a high dynamic environment was simulated. Its performance was assessed using a laser gyro and a quartz-flexure accelerometer as the sensors. Using deterministic values for the sensor errors, the effects of the sensor errors on the INS performance was assessed. Emphasis is placed on the effects that the sensor errors have on the INS errors in a high dynamic environment. Structural mode effects on INS performance are also evaluated. Following this an analysis of the sensitivity of the INS errors in position and velocity to each inertial sensor is determined. Using this sensitivity analysis, the sensor parameters required to obtain a performance specification of

Book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences

Download or read book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences written by W. H. Shafer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and dis seminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) * at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dissemination phases of the ac tivity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volume were handled by an international publishing house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 24 (thesis year 1979) a total of 10,033 theses titles from 26 Canadian and 215 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for theses titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this important annual reference work. While Volume 24 reports these submitted in 1979, on occasion, certain universities do report theses submitted in previous years but not reported at the time.

Book Gyroscopes

Download or read book Gyroscopes written by Xuye Zhuang and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2020-05-20 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book covers recent topics on gyroscopes. It briefly introduces the history of gyroscopes, and presents a concise analysis of the main types. The classical structure and main performance parameters of an interferometric fiber-optic gyroscope and an integrated optics passive-resonator gyroscope are analyzed. The developmental progress of a fiber optic gyroscope and its research situation in the United States, Japan, France, and other major developing countries are also presented. An effective autoregressive moving average model was invented to reduce MEMS gyroscope noise behavior. A discrete-time nonlinear attitude tracking control system was verified to achieve the agility and large-angle attitude maneuvers of spacecraft by numerical simulations. MEMS gyroscopes were experimentally demonstrated to be effective tools for gait analysis and to reduce the cost of revealing underlying pathologies.

Book Modern Applications of Wavelet Transform

Download or read book Modern Applications of Wavelet Transform written by Srinivasan Ramakrishnan and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2024-02-07 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the use of wavelet transforms in signal processing, including image, finance, and communication systems. It covers five contemporary applications, including the interaction between inertial sensors and wavelet filtering techniques, geophysical prospecting, volatility patterns in asset returns, computerized tomography (CT), and fault detection techniques. The book provides a foundation for further exploration, focusing on wavelet transformations' basic principles, their application in geophysical prospecting, and their use in identifying volatility patterns in asset returns. The book is intended for students, researchers, and professionals interested in understanding wavelet transforms and their practical implementations.
