Book Scattering Characteristics of Aerial and Ground Radar Objects

Download or read book Scattering Characteristics of Aerial and Ground Radar Objects written by Oleg I. Sukharevsky and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-06-24 with total page 531 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents computations for various types of aerial and ground objects. It contains a brief explanation of the theoretical calculation methods used for obtaining scattering characteristics of these objects. It provides working examples for the analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering processes by different objects. Scattering Characteristics of Aerial and Ground Radar Objects is divided in two sections. The first section includes scattering characteristics for different aerial objects: aircrafts, helicopters, transport and passenger airplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, and missiles. The second section contains data about scattering for many ground objects such as tanks, surface-to-air missile systems, ground radars, and other military objects. In total, the book contains actual data for 63 aerial objects (fighters, attack aircraft, bombers, long-range radar detection aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and cruise missiles) and 18 ground objects, among which are anti-aircraft missile systems and tanks. This book contains data obtained by computations such as circular diagrams of radar backscattering; mean and median radar cross section values of various objects; probability distributions of echo signal amplitude given various parameters of illumination and various kinds of underlying surfaces (for ground objects). Also, as an example, the scattering characteristics for one surface ship are given. This book will be a valuable reference for scientists, engineers, and researchers of electromagnetic wave scattering, computational electrodynamics, and those working on radar detection and recognition algorithms for aerial and and ground radar targets.

Book Measurement of Scattering Characteristics of Radar Targets

Download or read book Measurement of Scattering Characteristics of Radar Targets written by Y. N. Mayzel's and published by . This book was released on 1982 with total page 437 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The wide study of diffraction and scattering of radio waves became necessary due to the development of the new branches of technology - radar, radio astronomy, etc. The development of new technology and the reliable operation of radar equipment require the knowledge of the special features/peculiarities of scattering radio waves by different radar targets. The necessary information stops of ever of vaster and cannot be obtained without the use/application of new methods of theoretical and experimental study. The methods of calculation of diffraction and scattering of radio waves were substantially developed in recent years. Necessary information for the metallic bodies of simple form (sphere, disk, cylinder) can be obtained by the theoretical calculations.

  • Pages : 474 pages

Download or read book Sea Clutter written by Keith D. Ward and published by IET. This book was released on 2006-06-21 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sea Clutter: Scattering, the K Distribution and Radar Performance examines the statistics of radar scattering from the sea surface in terms of their relevance to radar operating in a maritime environment; including remote sensing, surveillance and targeting applications. A lot of the work in the book is based on the compound Kdistribution model for the amplitude statistics of sea clutter. In addition, the book addresses the specification of performance required by customers and the measurement of performance of systems supplied to customers.

Book Low Radar Cross Section HIS Based Phased Array

Download or read book Low Radar Cross Section HIS Based Phased Array written by Hema Singh and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-08-17 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The design and development of low radar cross section (RCS) phased array has been a challenging subject in stealth technology. The frequency selective surface elements act as absorbers in specific frequency band and facilitate gain enhancement and reduction of antenna RCS. This book presents a comprehensive EM design and analysis of such low-profile patch arrays with high impedance surface-based ground plane. It explains how to determine radiation mode RCS of low-profile antenna arrays with arbitrary configurations. Detailed descriptions of design, workflow of determining radiation and scattering behavior of antenna arrays have been supported with schematics, tables, and illustrations. Aimed at engineers and researchers for RCS, antenna engineers and graduate students in electrical engineering and electromagnetics, it • Discusses both radiation and scattering features of both planar and conformal HIS-based low profile antennas • Describes the theoretical background, design, simulations and analysis of low RCS phased array in detail • Presents the physics behind the resultant radiation and scattering characteristics of designed antenna array • Helps readers understand design and analysis of low RCS antenna array without any degradation in its radiation performance • Includes figures, schematics and illustrations to provide comprehensive descriptions of both radiation and scattering characteristics of phased arrays of different configurations
