Jonas married Barbara Miller ca. 1857 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Moses Miller and Catherine Friday. Jonas and Barbara lived in Pennsylvania and were the parents of thirteen children. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and elsewhere.
