Book Gravity Drive 2 Jason s Ark

Download or read book Gravity Drive 2 Jason s Ark written by Paul Howard Rosenfeld and published by Gravity Drive Books. This book was released on 2023-10-11 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise for Gravity Drive: “I started reading Gravity Drive-Key to the Cosmos after dinner, figuring I'd get a couple chapters into it just to see how it started...and couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing straight through. Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the characters. I loved the aliens.” Jerry Oltion - Nebula Award winning author of over 15 novels and 150 published stories, including numerous Authorized Star Trek novels. Note-This is a work of fiction: Gravity Drive 2 - Jason's Ark continues where the first book, Gravity Drive - Key to the Cosmos ends. Well sort of. The story picks up from book one but it's about 6,000 years later. Humanity got it's act together, stopped the senseless wars between countries and cultures, and together healed the ecosystems of Earth. Amazing what you can accomplish when you stop hosting wars. OK...we're getting into SPOILER ALERT territory, so you've been warned. So there's this wandering black hole left over from when our Milky Way Galaxy ripped off another smaller Galaxy a really long time ago as it came cruising by, minding it's own business, but not paying attention to where it was going. That's what happens when you don't pay attention. That powerful little bugger really does a number on Earth and it's life when it comes looking for a bit of payback (not really of course. It's a black hole. It doesn't care. It's totally indifferent as is the rest of the Universe). Then, just when you think things are going to get better, WRONG. The Universe isn't done with us yet. Things get much worse for Earth. Mars is starting to look pretty nice though. Good time for a visit. Anyway, as things really start to go downhill, the hero from our first book (not Howard he's just a smart engineer, but our real hero) Jason, comes up with a plan to save the day (assuming a day is all eternity). This is the part where you look at the title of the book and go "Ahhhhhh, I get it." OK, I'm going to stop now because I really hate the idea of ruining the best parts of the story for you. I've done enough damage so please forgive me and I hope you enjoy reading book 2 as much as I enjoyed writing it. And thank you again for your excellent taste in authors. You readers are the best. Paul

Book 100 Years Of Gravity And Accelerated Frames The Deepest Insights Of Einstein And Yang mills

Download or read book 100 Years Of Gravity And Accelerated Frames The Deepest Insights Of Einstein And Yang mills written by Jong-ping Hsu and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2005-08-26 with total page 662 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of papers presents ideas and problems arising over the past 100 years regarding classical and quantum gravity, gauge theories of gravity, and spacetime transformations of accelerated frames. Both Einstein's theory of gravity and the Yang-Mills theory are gauge invariant. The invariance principles in physics have transcended both kinetic and dynamic properties and are at the very heart of our understanding of the physical world. In this spirit, this book attempts to survey the development of various formulations for gravitational and Yang-Mills fields and spacetime transformations of accelerated frames, and to reveal their associated problems and limitations. The aim is to present some of the leading ideas and problems discussed by physicists and mathematicians. We highlight three aspects: formulations of gravity as a Yang-Mills field, first discussed by Utiyama; problems of gravitational theory, discussed by Feynman, Dyson and others; spacetime properties and the physics of fields and particles in accelerated frames of reference. These unfulfilled aspects of Einstein and Yang-Mills' profound thoughts present a great challenge to physicists and mathematicians in the 21st century.

  • Pages : 249 pages

Download or read book The Deep Pull written by Walter Hayduk and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2018-07-03 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As science advances at breakneck speed, it becomes harder to make new discoveries and chart uncharted territory. Yet The Deep Pull: A Major Advance in the Science of Ocean Tides does just that. This book offers the world a new model of tide formation that can actually find a pattern in previously unintelligible tide data and be applied to both oceanic and atmospheric tides. At the heart of this new model is a new theory on where lunisolar gravitational forces act. With this simple key, the author opens a new way of understanding a centuries-old science. Written for anyone with an interest in the mechanics behind natural phenomena, Walter Hayduk takes the readers through his thought process behind his new discovery. His accessible and engaging, step-by-step manner of uncovering a new paradigm through the exploration of data, analogies, and natural phenomena – from the Bay of Fundy’s incredible tides to tornadoes – provides the reader with the excitement of his or her own eureka moment of understanding the secret of the tides.

Book Theory And Applications Of Ocean Surface Waves Third Edition In 2 Volumes

Download or read book Theory And Applications Of Ocean Surface Waves Third Edition In 2 Volumes written by Chiang C Mei and published by World Scientific Publishing Company. This book was released on 2018-03-15 with total page 1240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book set is a revised version of the 2005 edition of Theory and Applications of Ocean Surface Waves. It presents theoretical topics on ocean wave dynamics, including basic principles and applications in coastal and offshore engineering as well as coastal oceanography. Advanced analytical and numerical techniques are demonstrated. In this revised version, five chapters on recent developments in linear and nonlinear aspects have been added. The first is on detailed analyses in Wave/Structure Interactions. The second is a new section on Waves through a Marine Forest, a topic motivated by its possible relevance to tsunami reduction. The third is on Long Waves in Shallow Water and the fourth is an update on Broad-Banded Nonlinear Surface Waves in the Open Sea to include new findings in this topic. The fifth is an expanded chapter on Numerical Simulation of Nonlinear Wave Dynamics to include predictions of nonlinear spectral evolution and rogue wave occurrence and dynamics using large-scale phase-resolved simulations. This revised version also includes recent developments in precorrected-FFT accelerated O(N log N) low- and high-order boundary element methods for the computation of fully nonlinear wave-wave and wave-body interactions.Theory and Applications of Ocean Surface Waves (2016) will be invaluable for graduate students and researchers in coastal and ocean engineering, geophysical fluid dynamicists interested in water waves, and theoretical scientists and applied mathematicians wishing to develop new techniques for challenging problems or to apply techniques existing elsewhere.
