Book Decanates and Duads

Download or read book Decanates and Duads written by Frances Sakoian and published by American Federation of Astr. This book was released on 2009-12 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does a planet in a sign have the same meaning in every horoscope? Yes and no. Although everyone with a specific planet in a specific sign shares common characteristics, each displays subtle differences depending upon what degree the planet occupies within that sign. These differences explain why, for example, one person with Mercury in Capricorn is practical and another is more creative or family-oriented, or has a strong desire to be in the spotlight. Both the three decanates (the ten-degree divisions of each sign) and the twelve duads (the two and a half-degree divisions of each sign) reveal sign characteristics specific to the individual, each of which is defined by the degree of the planet in the sign. Using decanates and duads, you can discover much more about every planet in the horoscope, as well as the signs on the angles3/4the Midheaven, IC, Ascendant and Descendant. And this, in turn, will lead to new insights into relationships, career choice, communication style, finances and life purpose and goals.

Download or read book Asteroids in Synastry written by Emma B. Donath and published by American Federation of Astr. This book was released on 1977 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Though individual asteroids or planetoids orbiting between Mars and Jupiter may be small, they are bound to exert influences in the horoscope. In light of this conclusion, they must also exert the same type of cross chart influence in the area of relationships. With this premise, Emma Belle Donath wrote Asteroids in Synastry. Using her vast store of mythological as well as astrological lore, she tells the myths of the four major asteroids, as well as giving keyword lists and rulerships for each. In the body of the book she gives delineation of the asteroids using the most accepted forms of synastry (person A's planets in person B's chart and vice versa). In addition, she gives some of the major aspect configurations between charts, and takes a brief look at composite charts and contact cosmograms. Several example charts are used to illustrate asteroid use in this manner. This is the definitive text for using asteroids in synastry.

Book Saturn

  • Publisher : Weiser Books
  • Release : 2021-12-01

  • Pages : 292 pages

Download or read book Saturn written by Liz Greene and published by Weiser Books. This book was released on 2021-12-01 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This classic astrology text, revered by beginners and professional astrologers alike, is now available in a Weiser Classics edition. “The most important single contribution of twentieth-century astrology is that astrology is not a map of one’s fixed destiny but is a potential map of the unfolding of the authentic, higher self.” —Robert Hand, from the foreword Saturn’s darker persona is recognized universally in myth and fairytale. In this classic astrology text, renowned astrologer and Jungian analyst Liz Greene offers a fresh perspective on how to handle the influence of this much-maligned astrological symbol. In Saturn, Greene shows us how the frustrating experiences connected to this planet can be turned into opportunities for greater insight and meaning in our lives. Saturn, she says, symbolizes a psychic process—one that allows us to utilize the experience of pain for self-discovery and a more fulfilling and complete life. Greene retraces Saturn’s character through sign, house, aspect, and synastry in a brilliant analysis that reveals his other face: that of the initiator who, for the price of our honesty with ourselves, offers us greater consciousness, self-understanding, and, eventually, freedom.
