Book excerpt: What is that lyric in that one song? “The lure of easy money has a very strong appeal”. Maybe you decided to get into the day trading business of investing and/or investing and trading because you saw some late-night TV commercial about day trading with flashy offers. Perhaps you received a spam e-mail touting some day trading method or system that said you could make easy money in the markets; I suggest you reconsider if that’s the case. Death by Day Trading is for all beginning aspiring investors and traders who are just getting their head around doing the day trading business who go online and do a search to find information on how to do financial market trading and it should be the first book a brand new beginner reads before any other books on trading as far as I’m concerned and will be the most harsh and brutal day trading book they have ever read. Everyone has their own ideas of what they think day trading is and what it can do for them; you need to look at it from a realistic perspective from the start and Death by Day Trading is absolutely going to help you to do that. This book is for beginners and will detail many of the things that a brand new trader must learn not to do before they can become consistently profitable in the live markets. You’re heard the saying “just say no to drugs”, just say no to day trading and you and your account will be waaaaay ahead of the game to start off. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, OK, continue with your insanity and read the entire book to give yourself a fighting chance. Death by Day Trading can help you keep it simple and filter the huge amount of information out there down to only what you need to know right away and then can work towards adding more information and studies as you go. My trading philosophy is to start small and build on success have limited exposure while you hone your skills, then progress as you become more competent. You can use Death by Day Trading and the references, suggestions and tips in it to go further into your educational studies of the markets and there dynamics. Knowing market dynamics is going to be critical for you to have the winning edge you will need to be a successful market participant. By studying what this book suggests you will not become one of the 97% of the sheeple of the herd, don’t become one of them.

Book Merchant of Death

  • Pages : 322 pages

Download or read book Merchant of Death written by Douglas Farah and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2007-07-09 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise for Merchant of Death "A riveting investigation of the world's most notorious arms dealer--a page-turner that digs deep into the amazing, murky story of Viktor Bout. Farah and Braun have exposed the inner workings of one of the world's most secretive businesses--the international arms trade." —Peter L. Bergen, author of The Osama bin Laden I Know "Viktor Bout is like Osama bin Laden: a major target of U.S. intelligence officials who time and again gets away. Farah and Braun have skillfully documented how this notorious arms dealer has stoked violence around the world and thwarted international sanctions. Even more appalling, they show how Bout ended up getting millions of dollars in U.S. government money to assist the war in Iraq. A truly impressive piece of investigative reporting." —Michael Isikoff, coauthor of Hubris: The Inside Story of Spin, Scandal, and the Selling of the Iraq War "Douglas Farah and Stephen Braun are two of the toughest investigative reporters in the country. This is an important book about a hidden world of gunrunning and profiteering in some of the world's poorest countries." —Steve Coll, author of Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001 "In Merchant of Death, two of America's finest reporters have performed a major public service, turning over the right rocks that reveal the brutal international arms business at the dawn of the twenty-first century. In Viktor Bout, they have given us a new Lord of War, a man who knows no side but his own, and who has a knack for turning up in every war zone just in time to turn a profit. As Farah and Braun uncover and document his troubling role in the Bush Administration's Global War on Terror, his ties to Washington almost seem inevitable." —James Risen, author of State of War: The Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration "An extraordinary and timely piece of investigative reporting, Merchant of Death is also a vividly compelling read. The true story of Viktor Bout, a sociopathic Russian gunrunner who has supplied weapons for use in some of the most gruesome conflicts of modern times--and who can count amongst his clients both the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan and the U.S. military in Iraq--is a stomach-churning indictment of the policy failures and moral contradictions of the world's most powerful governments, including that of the United States." —Jon Lee Anderson, author of The Fall of Baghdad Two respected journalists tell the incredible story of Viktor Bout, the Russian weapons supplier whose global network has changed the way modern warfare is fought. Bout’s vast enterprise of guns, planes, and money has fueled internecine slaughter in Africa and aided both militant Islamic fanatics in Afghanistan and the American military in Iraq. This book combines spy thrills with crucial insights on the shortcomings of a U.S. foreign policy that fails to confront the lucrative and lethal arms trade that erodes global security.

Book Bitcoin Ethereum Trader

Download or read book Bitcoin Ethereum Trader written by GEORGE M. PROTONOTARIOS and published by GEORGE PROTONOTARIOS. This book was released on 2021-08-26 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout history, technology and innovation created investment opportunities, and the decentralization of the financial industry is the mother of all opportunities. Considering the rate of adoption and the network effect, Bitcoin and Ethereum have by far the best chances of success. This book contains all the essential information about how to successfully trade the two dominant blockchain protocols, Bitcoin and Ethereum. It combines technical analysis with fundamentals, on-chain data, and market sentiment. -CHAPTERS- Chapter 1 begins with the crypto market cycle. The crypto market cycle is very short and lasts only four years. Chapter 1 also includes seasonal patterns. Bitcoin performs very well during the fourth quarter of the year, while Ethereum performs exceptionally well in the first semester of the year. Chapter 2 includes methods for identifying the trend. Chapter 2 also introduces a new chart type that is ideal for analyzing volatile asset classes. It is called ‘PriceMomentum’ and incorporates price momentum and periodic volatility. Chapter 3 presents a variety of methods for recognizing market tops and bottoms at an early stage, starting with the crucial role of the trading volume. In addition, you will learn about the brand-new RSI Precision, and MACD. Also, you will learn about the Wyckoff Schematics, which are quite applicable in the cryptocurrency market. Chapter 4 examines the powerful signals of on-chain analysis. You will be able to find several on-chain indicators that can predict market tops and bottoms, such as the Puell Multiple, NVT, Unrealized Profit/Loss, and others. In Chapter 5, you will learn about the role of derivative products in the cryptocurrency market. You will learn about Open Interest and the Commitments of Traders report, and how to explain a significant premium/discount in Bitcoin Futures. Chapter 6 investigates the role of Bitcoin dominance in the general market cycle. Typically, each cryptocurrency bull market starts with a Bitcoin rally and a Bitcoin dominance surge. History isn't bound to repeat itself, but knowing these patterns may prove extremely useful when trying to time your investment decisions. In Chapter 7, you will learn about market sentiment. You will learn how to distinguish between the experts’ sentiment that you should generally trade in line with and the public sentiment that you should generally trade against. Moreover, the ‘Fear and Greed Index’ and the crypto funding rates reflect the expectations of retail traders and can often indicate overbought/oversold market conditions. Chapter 8 examines the relationship between cryptocurrencies and traditional markets. Liquidity in the global financial markets functions like water in communicating vessels. However, each asset class has a different risk/reward profile, and thus the impact of the flowing liquidity into the system is not the same for every financial market. Chapter 8 also investigates the correlation between Bitcoin price, the US dollar, gold, and equities.

Book Death Dealer

Download or read book Death Dealer written by Rudolf Hoss and published by Prometheus Books. This book was released on 2012-08-31 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By his own admission, SS Kommandant Rudolf Höss was history's greatest mass murderer, having personally supervised the extermination of approximately two million people, mostly Jews, at the death camp in Auschwitz, Poland. Death Dealer is the first complete translation of Höss's memoirs into English. These bone-chilling memoirs were written between October 1946 and April 1947. At the suggestion of Professor Sanislaw Batawia, a psychologist, and Professor Jan Shen, the prosecuting attorney for the Polish War Crimes Commission in Warsaw, Höss wrote a lengthy and detailed description of how the camp developed, his impressions of the various personalities with whom he dealt, and even the extermination of millions in the gas chambers. This written testimony is perhaps the most important document attesting to the Holocaust, because it is the only candid, detailed, and (for the most part) honest description of the Final Solution from a high-ranking SS officer intimately involved in carrying out the plans of Hitler and Himmler. With the cold objectivity of a common hit-man, Höss chronicles the discovery of the most effective poison gas, and the technical obstacles that often thwarted his aim to kill as efficiently as possible. Staring at the horror without reacting, Höss allowed conditions at Auschwitz to reduce human beings to walking skeletons - then he labelled them as subhumans fit only to die. Readers will witness Höss's shallow rationalizations as he tries to balance his deeds with his increasingly disturbed, yet always ineffectual, conscience.
