In a time where Russian society is marked by great political turmoil, war and oppression, Lara and Yuri Zhivago stand out in this story; both having a great gift for healing people. Zhivago is a skilled physician and Lara a skilled nurse (a great Angel of Healing) - which Russia needed desperately during those times, due to the tremendous suffering. So the two of them make a great team; both of them being contributing greatly to healing Mother Russia: ) Indeed, Russia still needs a lot of healing today. In my opinion, the most tragic failing of today's Russia is that even though Russia is a highly intellectualized society, Russia has regressed into the dark cave of a military dictatorship - where academics, lawyers and opposition leaders are persecuted. This must change - so that the People of Russia can restore Peace and Friendship with their Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine; and also for the sake of future generations in Russia - so that academics, lawyers and opposition leaders can speak their mind, and be allowed to participate in shaping Russia's future. We encourage the People of Russia to implement a peaceful governmental change by forming a new Russian Government - so that Peace and Human Rights can be restored. Just like imperialism had to make way for Liberty and Social Justice, so will inequality and classism make way for Equality, Equity, Prosperity and Human Rights in India. We would like to remind all People in the International Community, that the importance of belonging to Humankind takes precedence over all the marks of distinction that may separate one person from another. Most Western scholars and experts once hailed the redemptive power of Arabism. Arab Awakening and Islamic Revival is a critical assessment of the contradictions of Arab nationalism and Islamic fundamentalism, and the misrepresentation of both in the West. The first part of the book argues that Arab nationalism--the so-called Arab awakening--bore within it the seeds of its own failure. Arabism as an idea drew upon foreign sources and resources. Even as it claimed to liberate the Arabs from imperialism it deepened intellectual dependence upon the West's own romanticism and radicalism. Ultimately, Arab nationalism became a force of oppression rather than liberation, and a mirror image of the imperialism it defied. Kramer's essays together form the only chronological telling and the at fully documented postmortem of Arabism. The second part of the book examines the similar failings of Islamism, whose ideas are Islamic reworkings of Western ideological radicalism. Its effect has been to give new life to old rationales for oppression, authoritarianism, and sectarian division. Arab Awakening and Islamic Revival provides an alternative view of a century of Middle Eastern history. As the region moves fitfully past ideology, Kramer's perspective is more compelling than at any time in the past-in Western academe no less than among many in the Middle. The idea of rivaling by means of imitation, as old as the Aenead and as modern as Michelangelo, fit neither the pessimistic deference of the neoclassicists nor the revolutionary spirit of the Romantics. Emulation thus disappeared along with the Renaissance humanist tradition, but it is slowly being recovered in the scholarship of Roman art. It remains to recover emulation for the Renaissance itself, and to revivify it for modern practice. Mayernik argues that it was the absence of a coherent understanding of emulation that fostered the fissuring of artistic production in the later eighteenth century into those devoted to copying the past and those interested in continual novelty, a situation solidified over the course of the nineteenth century and mostly taken for granted today. This book is a unique contribution to our understanding of the historical phenomenon of emulation, and perhaps more importantly a timely argument for its value to contemporary practice.

They are now been replaced by heavy trucks and lorries. African traditional methods of healing are now been substituted by hospitals. In all these, I will always love and remember Africa, the home of my birth and must respect her cultures and traditions as an AFRICAN AUTHOR.
