Book excerpt: En Sciences de l'information et de la communication, les formations évoluent pour s'adapter à la demande sociale au rythme des injonctions institutionnelles venant de l'enseignement universitaire puis secondaire. La question de la référentialité des savoirs de la discipline est au centre de cette évolution. Comme toute discipline, l'information-documentation s'appuie sur des savoirs scientifiques de référence dont les trois concepts centraux de son enseignement sont information, document et système d'information. Or, une réelle difficulté est constatée dans l'enseignement de ces savoirs du point de vue de ses ancrages théoriques (Gardiès, 2012). Cette thèse étudie en particulier le concept information dans le cadre de son enseignement par les professeurs-documentalistes. L'ancrage théorique articule une double approche épistémologique et didactique de l'information afin d'identifier ce que l'on connaît du concept à travers ses dimensions scientifiques comme la manière dont on l'enseigne à travers sa transposition didactique. L'approche méthodologique qualitative suit une démarche de recherche collaborative alternant conception, test et analyse d'une séance d'enseignement sur le concept information au sein d'un groupe d'animation et de professionnalisation en Documentation (GAP). Les résultats montrent, à travers ce processus itératif de co-construction entre chercheurs et praticiens, que l'appréhension du concept information par la complexité de ses dimensions apporte des éléments pertinents et opérationnels pour favoriser son enseignement. L'analyse de ces résultats menée du point de vue de l'ingénierie et de l'action conjointe didactique met en évidence un développement des savoirs de l'enseignant en termes d'épistémologie scolaire et pratique. Ces résultats ancrés dans une réflexion sur la référentialité et la médiation des savoirs ouvrent des perspectives pour la recherche comme pour la formation des professeurs-documentalistes de l'Enseignement agricole.

"Crying Out for Change" pulls together new field work conducted in 1999 in 23 countries (Deepa Narayan, Robert Chambers, Meera Shah, and Patti Petesch, authors). "From Many Lands" offers regional patterns and country case-studies (Deepa Narayan and Patti Petesch, editors). Voices of the Poor marks the first time such an exercise has been undertaken in so many developing countries and transition economies around the world. It provides a unique and detailed picture of the life of the poor and explains the constraints poor people face to escape from poverty in a way that more traditional survey techniques do not capture well. Each of the three volumes demonstrates the importance of voice and power in poor people's definition of poverty. Voices of the Poor concludes that we need to expand our conventional views of poverty which focus on income expenditure, education, and health to include measures of voice and empowerment.
