Book Causuality Between Finance and Growth

Download or read book Causuality Between Finance and Growth written by Deepak P. Sable and published by Educreation Publishing. This book was released on with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book attempts to study causal relationships between several measures of financial sector growth and deepening and economic growth in the Indian context, using annual data from 1950-51 to 2008-09. The relationship between financial sector development and economic growth can be analyzed from three angles: financial deepening leading to economic growth, economic growth leading to financial deepening and a bi-directional relationship between the two. The book gives a detailed description of the data used in this study, book further describes the empirical methodology, the main tool of analysis are the method of Granger causality, Error correction Mechanism, Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Co-integration explained. The data used are annual data from Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy; Statistical Tables Relating To Banks in India, Banking Statistics, NSE News (Private Circulation), Fact Book of NSE, BSE annual reports, and Handbook of Statistics on The Indian Security Market by SEBI. All the variables were tested for unit roots using the Dickey-Fuller test (1979) which have been referred from the Enders (2003) to find out stationarity and study considers critical values at 5 per cent significance level. Unit root test is performed by using the R software and difference operators have been indicated with the numerical value. This study applied Granger causality test to verify causality between various variables of financial deepening and Gross Domestic Product and Per Capita Income as indicators of economic growth. It is shown that for a wide range of financial variables, financial deepening does indeed cause economic growth. However, the causality is not unidirectional; in a feedback relationship, economic growth too causes financial sector deepening. The study supports the claims of all three schools.

Book Computing with Spatial Trajectories

Download or read book Computing with Spatial Trajectories written by Yu Zheng and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-10-02 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spatial trajectories have been bringing the unprecedented wealth to a variety of research communities. A spatial trajectory records the paths of a variety of moving objects, such as people who log their travel routes with GPS trajectories. The field of moving objects related research has become extremely active within the last few years, especially with all major database and data mining conferences and journals. Computing with Spatial Trajectories introduces the algorithms, technologies, and systems used to process, manage and understand existing spatial trajectories for different applications. This book also presents an overview on both fundamentals and the state-of-the-art research inspired by spatial trajectory data, as well as a special focus on trajectory pattern mining, spatio-temporal data mining and location-based social networks. Each chapter provides readers with a tutorial-style introduction to one important aspect of location trajectory computing, case studies and many valuable references to other relevant research work. Computing with Spatial Trajectories is designed as a reference or secondary text book for advanced-level students and researchers mainly focused on computer science and geography. Professionals working on spatial trajectory computing will also find this book very useful.

Book Digital Geometry Algorithms

Download or read book Digital Geometry Algorithms written by Valentin E. Brimkov and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-05-20 with total page 430 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digital geometry emerged as an independent discipline in the second half of the last century. It deals with geometric properties of digital objects and is developed with the unambiguous goal to provide rigorous theoretical foundations for devising new advanced approaches and algorithms for various problems of visual computing. Different aspects of digital geometry have been addressed in the literature. This book is the first one that explicitly focuses on the presentation of the most important digital geometry algorithms. Each chapter provides a brief survey on a major research area related to the general volume theme, description and analysis of related fundamental algorithms, as well as new original contributions by the authors. Every chapter contains a section in which interesting open problems are addressed.

Book Simulation Methods for ESD Protection Development

Download or read book Simulation Methods for ESD Protection Development written by Harald Gossner and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2003-10-16 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Simulation Methods for ESD Protection Development looks at the integration of new techniques into a comprehensive development flow, which is now available due advances made in the field during the recent years. These findings allow for an early, stable ESD concept at a very early stage of the technology development, which is essential now development cycles have been reduced. The book also offers ways of increasing the optimization and control of the technology concerning performance, thus making the process more cost effective and increasingly efficient. This title provides a guide through the latest research and technology presenting the ESD protection development methodology. This is based on a combination of process, device and circuit stimulation, and addresses the optimization of the industry critical issue, reduced development cycles.Written to address the needs of the ESD engineer, this text is required reading by all industry practitioners and researchers and students within this field. - The FIRST Extensive overview on the subject of ESD simulation - Addresses the industry critical issue of reduced development cycles, and provides solutions - Presents the latest research in the field with high practical relevance and its results

Download or read book Sports Cardiology written by R. Fagard and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Participation in athletics at both the recreational and competitive levels has grown enormously over the last decade, and now involves a substantial segment of the population of many countries, particularly those in Europe and North America. This change in the life-style of many individuals has been accompanied by the desire and necessity on the part of physicians to define the consequences of chronic athletic training and competition to the participant. Coincident with the of public interest in sporting competition has been the evolution and growth development of new non-invasive technologies in cardiology (such as M-mode and two-dimensional echocardiography and radionuclide angiography) which have permitted investigators to study directly and more precisely the morphology and function of the heart and cardiovascular system. Hence, over the past several years our knowledge has been greatly enhanced with regard to the features of the normal 'athlete heart' and the relationship of athletic conditioning to preexistent cardiovascular disease, as well as the causes of sudden death in athletes. The present treatise on 'Sports cardiology: Exercise in Health and Cardio vascular Disease' is an impressive reference document which is also timely. It fulfills an important role in summarizing most of the available data that has been accumulated over the last 10 years in a large number of athletes participating in a variety of different sports. Download or read book Medicare written by S. N. Colamery and published by Nova Publishers. This book was released on 2003 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Medicare is an American health insurance programme for the aged and certain disabled persons. Over its nearly 35-year history, it has provided important protections for millions of Americans. However, the programme is facing a number of problems. One concern is that Medicare's financing mechanisms will cease to function in the long run. Many are also concerned that the programmes structure, which in large measure reflects both the health care delivery system as well as political considerations in effect at the time of enactment, has failed to keep pace with the changes in the health care system as a whole. This book examines the major problems that have been plaguing Medicare for years, as well as the possible solutions to them.
