Book The Light of His Presence

Download or read book The Light of His Presence written by Anne Graham Lotz and published by Multnomah. This book was released on 2020-10-06 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ECPA BESTSELLER • CHRISTIAN BOOK AWARD FINALIST • The beloved Bible teacher and daughter of Billy Graham shares a rich treasury of her personal prayers to guide you into deeper, more intimate daily conversations with God. Why is it that as soon as we bow our heads to pray, we start thinking of other things we need to do? How do we make time to pray in the middle of our busy lives? And how do we know what to say and how to say it? Like many of us, Anne Graham Lotz has struggled with prayer. Over the years, she discovered that writing out her prayers draws her into deeper, more intimate conversations with God. The Light of His Presence offers forty of these tender, honest prayers for real-life situations as an invitation to deepen your own prayer life through worship, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession. You’ll be encouraged to lean more fully into God’s promises through this power-packed devotional resource, which includes inspiring quotes from Christians throughout the ages and also has space to journal your own words to God. As Anne writes, “My prayer for you . . . is that God will use my struggle with prayer to help you overcome yours. And that, as a result, you will be drawn nearer to the heart of God.”

Book Conversations with the Most High

Download or read book Conversations with the Most High written by Jennifer Kennedy Dean and published by New Hope Publishers. This book was released on 2014-09-01 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Provoking us to intimate, fulfilling conversation, Conversations with the Most High will help prepare the Christian believer’s heart to enter the throne room of God. A blessed resource each day, 365 devotions steeped in Scripture engage our focus and prompt us in communication with the God who gives us His attention. Peppered with quotes from notable historical pray-ers and experts on prayer, the short and timely narratives make for excellent discussion starters and listening gauges for conversation with God. Before Christ’s sacrifice for our sins, humanity had to rely solely on the high priest to go into the “secret place” known as the Holy of Holies and petition God on our behalf. Jesus Christ’s finished work on the Cross changed everything. Now, we, too, can enter the presence of the Most High God if our hearts and minds are prepared for worshipping and engaging in the life-changing conversation that He longs to have with us. Who would forsake such a privilege?

With warmth and wisdom, Grace Fox offers you ninety daily devotions to refresh your soul and lead you to a place of joy on the journey. Read and reflect on these gems; let their truth remind you of God’s presence and care. You don’t walk alone, my friend. Each day’s devotion offers a key Bible verse, insights on which to pause, an application question to ponder, and a sentence prayer. You’ll also find an encouraging quote from others who walked a difficult journey but discovered joy along the way. Readers of these devotions are facing difficult circumstances and need spiritual encouragement in bite-sized pieces. Their greatest need is hope. They need reassurance that God’s love will never let them go. His presence will never leave them, and his strength will carry them through. Fresh Hope for Today addresses these needs as follows: Its overall message directs their minds to God’s character and promises. These bite-size bits of truth will feed their souls and give them the strength and encouragement needed for that day. Devotions are short enough to read and keep their focus even when their minds are on overload. All segments work together to make it easy for readers to recall truth. Relevant quotes reinforce the day’s teaching.
