A prophecy reviews the different perspectives espoused by the three major Christian theological interpretations - premillennial, amillennial, and higher critical - concerning the seventy weeks prophecy in the Book of Daniel and their relation to Chistology. Premillennial theology views the first 69 weeks of Daniel's prophecy as having been fulfilled and the 70th week as still in the future; the amillennialist would agree with premillennial on the first 69 weeks but conclude that the 70th week is fulfilled and extends to what is called the eternal state; the higher critic rejects any Christological interpretation of the prophecy and holds that it was completed in the second century B.C.
