Download or read book The Awakening Morale Dismount written by Jarrod A. Freeman and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2018-09-07 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have always had an eye for movies and directors. I was always intrigued by story writing. I always wanted to be a director, but I never went to school. So I used to use my mom’s digital camera to make stop-motion videos because I enjoyed it. I’d make war movies, considering most of the toys were army toys. They were cheap, so basically anyone can make a stop-motion film. My idols, I guess, are Stanley Kubrick, Oliver Stone, and Quentin Tarantino, so I’d like to produce a book idea but with a touch of surrealism rather than the social norm. I’d like to give the edge. I originally started off my career with an indie book known as Don’t Pray for Me. It was just a horror slasher, but again, it was way too weird and with too much surrealism. So I won’t realize it as a full book; well, not yet. So after the predecessor of Don’t Pray for Me, I made Forsaketh. It is the extended version of Don’t Pray for Me.
Download or read book Aiden s Awakening written by Michelle Dare and published by Daring Romance LLC. This book was released on 2023-06-21 with total page 215 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aiden’s world was rocked when he learned paranormals existed. Since then, he’d made new friends, but every encounter only emphasized how ordinary his life was. Eighteen years was very young for a vampire. During that time, Honey hadn’t seen much. What she lacked in experience, she made up for in intelligence. When a violent car accident happened right before Honey’s eyes, she jumped into action. Aiden was on the brink of death. He felt himself slipping away, then someone appeared. But she didn’t rescue him. She plunged him deeper into pain and darkness. Being made into a vampire was an excruciating experience. Once the agony receded, Aiden had to embrace his powers. He had to learn to live an entirely new life—one that was far removed from his previously mundane one. Their relationship was forged from the choices they had to make. Their love was something they both had to fight for. What they didn’t realize was fate was testing them. They would either embrace what was right in front of them or watch as it withered away.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One mother’s touching memoir of the adventures and hardships she faced while raising a family internationally for over 20 years. After more than twenty years living abroad—sixteen addresses, eight countries, and five different languages—writer Melissa Bradford shares a fantastic journey of motherhood that will inspire any family. Follow this family of six on their passage—extraordinary, hilarious and heartbreakingly poignant—from Bright Lights (of New York City) to the Northern Lights (of Norway) to the City of Light (Paris) to the speed-of-light of the Autobahn (in Munich). Continue deep into the tropics of Southeast Asia (Singapore) and end your voyage in the heights of the Swiss Alps (Geneva). As varied as the topography—the craggy fjords, the meandering Seine, the black forests, the muggy tropics, the soaring Alps—this international tale traverses everything from giving birth in a château in Versailles to living on an island in a fjord. From singing jazz on national Norwegian T.V. to judging an Indonesian beauty contest. From navigating the labyrinth of French bureaucracy and the traffic patterns of Singapore to sitting around a big pine table where the whole family learns languages, cultures, and cuisines—where they learn to love this complex world and, most importantly, each other. Praise for Global Mom “A stunning picture of life.” —The Deseret News “Here is a rich, frank and funny book in which the essentials of family and friendship and community are combined with interesting travelogue and the best kind of spiritual writing. In short, this is a book about love.” —Kate Braestrup, New York Times–bestselling author of Here If You Need Me “A brilliant hero's journey highlighting the challenges and triumphs of motherhood under unique cross-cultural circumstances. With honesty, sensitivity, and humor, Dalton-Bradford is a role model for all parents who will be relocating with children, especially those who will relocate for their spouse’s career.” —Paula Caligiuri, PhD, author of Cultural Agility: Building a Pipeline of Successful Global Professionals
Download or read book From Awakening to Secession written by Timothy Stunt and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2000-06-01 with total page 417 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A major study of the impact of the Swiss RTveil (Awakening) on British evangelicals in the 1820s. This book provides an important synthesis of a variety of tendencies and movements which have usually been treated and understood as separate. By resisting the temptation to read back into the 1820s the partisan labels of later decades, Timothy Stunt rediscovers the common ground which was shared by a wide spectrum of Christians who were later seen as mutually hostile. The author considers the influence of the Awakening on radical attitudes to mission and ecclesiastical radicalism in Ireland, pre-Tractarian Oxford, and Scotland. In dealing with the reluctant movement towards secession from the established church, Stunt illuminates and reinterprets the origins of the early Catholic Apostolic Church and the Brethren.
