Book excerpt: Lo scopo di questa riflessione è esaminare due concetti, la parità di genere e la società civile, al fine di comprendere se e che tipo di relazione esista tra loro e quali vantaggi l’agenda femminista contemporanea possa trarre da questa relazione. La riflessione teorica sul legame tra questi due concetti è, a mio avviso, ancora insufficiente nonostante negli ultimi decenni entrambi siano stati, in maniera diversa, ampiamente utilizzati nell’analisi e per la comprensione della realtà e delle dinamiche sociali. Attualmente, entrambi sono utilizzati indipendentemente da qualunque approccio teorico sociale, che tenti di comprendere come siano strutturati gli spazi individuali, culturali, politici ed economici in paesi e società differenti tra loro.
