This book was released on 1996 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE TRAVAIL A POUR BUT DE CONTRIBUER AU DEVELOPPEMENT DE TECHNIQUES DE VELOCIMETRIE PAR IMAGERIE DE PARTICULES POUR L'ANALYSE DE VISUALISATIONS D'ECOULEMENTS HYDRODYNAMIQUES NAISSANT A L'AVAL D'OBSTACLES. L'AUTOMATISATION DE LA TECHNIQUE PAR SUIVI D'ELEMENTS DE TRAJECTOIRES PARTICULAIRES (PARTICLE STREAK VELOCIMETRY) ET LES DEVELOPPEMENTS DE NOUVEAUX OUTILS DONNANT ACCES A LA CIRCULATION, A LA VORTICITE, A LA FONCTION DE COURANT ET AU CHAMP DE PRESSION SONT VALIDES SUR L'ETUDE DE L'ECOULEMENT BIDIMENSIONNEL GENERE A L'AVAL D'UN CYLINDRE DE SECTION CIRCULAIRE POUR UN NOMBRE DE REYNOLDS DE 1000. UNE COMPARAISON ENTRE LES TROIS PRINCIPALES TECHNIQUES PLEIN CHAMP DE VELOCIMETRIE PARTICULAIRE (PARTICLE STREAK VELOCIMETRY, PARTICLE TRACKING VELOCIMETRY, PARTICLE IMAGE VELOCIMETRY) PRECISE LES CARACTERISTIQUES ESSENTIELLES DE CHAQUE METHODE DE MESURE. LA LIMITATION ACTUELLE DE CES MOYENS D'ANALYSE PAR TRAITEMENT D'IMAGES A DES ECOULEMENTS BIDIMENSIONNELS A MOTIVE LE DEVELOPPEMENT D'UN NOUVEAU DISPOSITIF DE VELOCIMETRIE TRIDIMENSIONNELLE (PSV-3D). LA MISE EN PLACE D'UNE TECHNIQUE OPTIQUE DE VISUALISATION D'UN ECOULEMENT PAR TOMOGRAPHIES MULTIPLES SIMULTANEES, DE SECTIONS CONTIGUES, ASSOCIEE A UN CODAGE DU CHEMINEMENT PARTICULAIRE RELEVE AU MOYEN D'UNE TECHNIQUE PAR SUIVI D'ELEMENTS DE TRAJECTOIRES PARTICULAIRES A ETE ETUDIEE. POUR LA PREMIERE FOIS, LA FAISABILITE DE L'USAGE D'UN TEL DISPOSITIF POUR L'ETUDE D'UN ECOULEMENT TRIDIMENSIONNEL, PAR LA NATURE MEME DE SA GEOMETRIE (ECOULEMENT NAISSANT A L'AVAL D'UN CYLINDRE CIRCULAIRE EN INCIDENCE), A ETE DEMONTREE

Book In Vessel Melt Retention and Ex Vessel Corium Cooling IAEA Tecdoc No 1906

Download or read book In Vessel Melt Retention and Ex Vessel Corium Cooling IAEA Tecdoc No 1906 written by International Atomic Energy Agency and published by International Atomic Energy Agency. This book was released on 2020-08-06 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This publication results from a technical meeting on phenomenology and technologies relevant to in-vessel melt retention (IVMR) and ex-vessel corium cooling (EVCC). The purpose of the publication is to capture the state of knowledge, at the time of that meeting, related to phenomenology and technologies as well as the challenges and pending issues relevant to IVMR and EVCC for water cooled reactors by summarizing the information provided by the meeting participants in a form useful to practitioners in Member States.

Book Sampling in Combinatorial and Geometric Set Systems

Download or read book Sampling in Combinatorial and Geometric Set Systems written by Nabil H. Mustafa and published by American Mathematical Society. This book was released on 2022-01-14 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding the behavior of basic sampling techniques and intrinsic geometric attributes of data is an invaluable skill that is in high demand for both graduate students and researchers in mathematics, machine learning, and theoretical computer science. The last ten years have seen significant progress in this area, with many open problems having been resolved during this time. These include optimal lower bounds for epsilon-nets for many geometric set systems, the use of shallow-cell complexity to unify proofs, simpler and more efficient algorithms, and the use of epsilon-approximations for construction of coresets, to name a few. This book presents a thorough treatment of these probabilistic, combinatorial, and geometric methods, as well as their combinatorial and algorithmic applications. It also revisits classical results, but with new and more elegant proofs. While mathematical maturity will certainly help in appreciating the ideas presented here, only a basic familiarity with discrete mathematics, probability, and combinatorics is required to understand the material.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The future evolution of the debris environment will be forecast on the basis of traffic models and possible hazard mitigation practices. The text shows how large trackable objects will have re-entry pinpointed and predictions made on related risk assessment for possible ground impact. Models will also be described for meteoroids which are also a prevailing risk.

Download or read book Analytic Combinatorics written by Philippe Flajolet and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2009-01-15 with total page 825 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Analytic combinatorics aims to enable precise quantitative predictions of the properties of large combinatorial structures. The theory has emerged over recent decades as essential both for the analysis of algorithms and for the study of scientific models in many disciplines, including probability theory, statistical physics, computational biology, and information theory. With a careful combination of symbolic enumeration methods and complex analysis, drawing heavily on generating functions, results of sweeping generality emerge that can be applied in particular to fundamental structures such as permutations, sequences, strings, walks, paths, trees, graphs and maps. This account is the definitive treatment of the topic. The authors give full coverage of the underlying mathematics and a thorough treatment of both classical and modern applications of the theory. The text is complemented with exercises, examples, appendices and notes to aid understanding. The book can be used for an advanced undergraduate or a graduate course, or for self-study.
