Un approccio molto singolare, ma che ci e vi piace tanto.Infatti, sarebbe stato pretestuoso scrivere un manuale, dove si analizza passo dopo passo come scrivere un curriculum, con esempi gi� fatti, pronti per il copia incolla. Idem per la lettera di presentazione.Ho stima per chi legge un libro, e al tempo di internet la quantit� di informazioni reperibile sulla rete in modo gratuito � tanta.Come detto all'inizio, niente aria fritta.Quello che leggerete qui parte dal presupposto che internet esista eccome. Per questo motivo non troverete nessun template.Che senso avrebbe avuto fornirvi 10 templates se su internet ne trovate a migliaia, e gratis?Mi sono concentrato invece su quello che su internet non si trova: le domande e le risposte, e una descrizione pratica su come trovare lavoro.Si, perch� ho voluto fare le cose per bene: oltre che del curriculum e della lettera di presentazione, scrivo, e molto, su come cercare lavoro e di quanto importante sia avere un piano, un piano che anno dopo anno vi faccia fare carriera.Perch� trovar la giusta carriera � pi� importante che trovare un lavoro. Se non sai quello che vuoi per il tuo futuro, rimarrai senza una meta, ed essere senza una meta render� molto difficile trovare un lavoro a te congeniale� da 10 anni che manco dall'Italia, e ho cercato (e trovato) lavoro in 7 Nazioni diverse. E ho sempre trovato lavoro. Un lavoro non qualificato lo trovo in una settimana lavorativa, un lavoro qualificato in un mese.� questa la vostra certezza: questo libro parla di sostanza, non di fuffa.Riscriverlo non fa male: non c'era bisogno dell'ennesimo libro tra i tanti.Abbiamo preferito, cos� come per il primo libro (Il colloquio di lavoro vincente), un approccio pratico, di chi il lavoro lo cerca veramente, giorno dopo giorno, e che ha bisogno di risposte secche ad altrettanti dubbi.E, sempre pensando ai lettori, abbiamo deciso di non fare un terzo libro l'anno prossimo. They are used to evaluate schools, to assign students to tracks within schools, and to identify weaknesses in student knowledge. The GED is an achievement test used to grant the status of high school graduate to anyone who passes it. GED recipients currently account for 12 percent of all high school credentials issued each year in the United States. But do achievement tests predict success in life? The Myth of Achievement Tests shows that achievement tests like the GED fail to measure important life skills. James J. Heckman, John Eric Humphries, Tim Kautz, and a group of scholars offer an in-depth exploration of how the GED came to be used throughout the United States and why our reliance on it is dangerous. Drawing on decades of research, the authors show that, while GED recipients score as well on achievement tests as high school graduates who do not enroll in college, high school graduates vastly outperform GED recipients in terms of their earnings, employment opportunities, educational attainment, and health. The authors show that the differences in success between GED recipients and high school graduates are driven by character skills. Achievement tests like the GED do not adequately capture character skills like conscientiousness, perseverance, sociability, and curiosity. These skills are important in predicting a variety of life outcomes. They can be measured, and they can be taught. Using the GED as a case study, the authors explore what achievement tests miss and show the dangers of an educational system based on them. They call for a return to an emphasis on character in our schools, our systems of accountability, and our national dialogue. The chapters included in this edited volume will critically reflect on the contemporary contexts of rubrics and the uses and impact of rubrics in education. Since rubrics have become indelible in education, it is necessary for a fuller, nuanced discussion of the phenomenon. Creating a book that explores these aspects of rubrics is timely and fundamental to expanding the discourse on this ubiquitous evaluation tool. The Language of Stravinsky proposes new methods of looking at Stravinsky’s work, more than 40 years after his death. It considers both his individual compositions and the evolution of his work over his lifetime. The main purpose of the book is to analyse and clarify the inner coherence of Stravinsky’s music, despite the wide variety of styles, instrumental combinations and theatrical modes with which he worked. Though his career is often seen as falling into three distinct periods – Russian, Neoclassical and Serial – his work as a whole is threaded through with a language unique to himself as a composer. The analysis presented in this account identifies the basic elements and grammar of this underlying musical language. Each of the eight chapters of the book focuses on one aspect of Stravinsky’s musical language, followed chronologically within that chapter. The same works are therefore often studied in different chapters, looked at from a different musical perspective. This analysis of Stravinsky’s music over time provides major new insights into his work.
