Book Cunnilingus 101 for Christians

Download or read book Cunnilingus 101 for Christians written by Brian Hodges and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2009-12-10 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Want to master the beautiful art of cunnilingus? You can now learn everything you ever wanted to know about pleasuring your wife with your mouth... but were too afraid to ask about. This is the most comprehensive book ever made on woman focused oral sex, including 40 mild to wild techniques to try on your lover, PLUS multiple bonus advanced moves. With 100 colorful illustrations, this book is the master collection of years of research into various techniques, movements, patterns, speeds, directions, pressure points, and general combinations as it relates to her most feminine of openings. Like many of you reading this book, I grew up in a religious household, where the evils of sex were hammered home. "Flee fornication" and phrases like that were repeated for years. Morality was enforced through words, expressions, sighs, glares, and disdainful remarks. I grew to think of sex as an evil thing. It's actually quite sad. Sex was designed by God and it should be Christians that are teaching, educating and encouraging healthy sexuality. Unfortunately the opposite has happened. There are harmful messages about sexuality among Christians today sending the message that sex is dirty, shameful, secretive, and even in some cases sinful. Sound familiar? The fact of the matter is, oral sex is a beautiful expression of love when directed towards your wife in a loving, monogamous relationship. This book is for those who are shy, and lack the confidence to try something like this with their wife. This book is also for those who are starting to break out of their imposed boxes of perceptual morality... and rather giving way to understanding the full realm of beautiful and loving acts that they can share with their wife. Some people will view this as immoral or NC-17, but what it truly is... is a beautiful and loving act meant to selflessly bring pleasure to your wife. Go forth and enjoy the beautiful art of cunnilingus.

Download or read book The Meaning Of Sex written by Christopher Doyle, MA LPC LCPC and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2018-03-20 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the midst of a culture where sex and gender issues are rampant, two common viewpoints exist. Unfortunately, they are both extreme. While there is an effort in the church to minister to the sexually broken, many places of worship have adopted a strict ethic that leads to a fear-based attitude towards those struggling with sexuality and gender identity. This has caused strugglers to feel alienated and wounded from the church. On the other hand, secular culture has adopted the sexual liberation message: "If it feels good, do it." Sadly, this idea has permeated the hearts and minds of too many Christians. As a result, issues such as homosexuality, gender identity confusion, and sex outside of marriage have become battlegrounds of division among the Body of Christ. With all of this discord, how do we find the true meaning of sex? In The Meaning of Sex: A New Christian Ethos, Christopher Doyle offers a compassionate and bold philosophy on how to love thy neighbor within the confines set forth by our Savior, who holds us when we struggle, loves us when we fall, and celebrates with us when we experience victory. When we collectively pursue the wholeness Jesus calls us to, the sexual ethics that bind us becomes a higher ethos that unites us. Only then, as we bare our souls to each other and become vulnerable with our own unique wounds, can we meet our struggling brothers and sisters where they are and journey towards emotional wholeness and spiritual maturity. "The Meaning of Sex: A New Christian Ethos is a masterful synthesis of Christian theology and the social sciences that has the potential to radically transform our culture in positive ways." ~ Michelle A. Cretella, M.D. (President, American College of Pediatricians) "Christopher Doyle effectively challenges cultural constructs that have led Christians away from the questions that we need to be asking, connecting the dots between a biblical narrative of sexuality and what is revealed in nature and through scientific inquiry." ~ Professor Carolyn Pela, Ph.D., LMFT (Chair, Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Arizona Christian University)

Download or read book Good Christian Sex written by Bromleigh McCleneghan and published by HarperCollins. This book was released on 2016-07-05 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Moving beyond the deep-seated cultural feelings of shame that have long fueled the conflict between Christianity and sex—and the belief that there is only one right and valid way to practice one’s sexuality—this renowned University of Chicago pastor uses enlightening personal stories and examples from theology to show how sex is powerful and holy. For years, Christians have been told to adhere to one singular path when it comes to sex: abstinence and purity. Yet this limited focus ignores the reality that people’s sexual and romantic lives differ widely, even among those who consider themselves devout believers. Church leaders have often refused to address the topic—or have preached in ways that are harmful to the emotional and spiritual growth of the faithful in the pews. Pastor McCleneghan is determined to reshape the issue—and fundamentally transcend this disconnect between sexuality and spirituality that has left many Christians feeling guilty and sinful. Written in her measured, non-judgmental voice, Good Christian Sex combines humorous personal anecdotes with theological research to transform how Christians think and talk about this basic human need, offering a new understanding that reconciles human love and religious faith. Breaking with outdated conventions, McCleneghan explains how the Bible and Christian tradition inform our beliefs about desire, pleasure, nudity, fidelity, premarital sex, and the variety of sexual practices, and encourages Christians to talk about their bodies, their sensuality, and their longings in a frank, positive, and realistic way. Warm, insightful, and honest, Good Christian Sex is a message of hope, that at last lifts the veil of shame felt by many religious people.

Book Kissing Christians

Download or read book Kissing Christians written by Michael Philip Penn and published by University of Pennsylvania Press. This book was released on 2013-10-09 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the first five centuries of the common era, the kiss was a distinctive and near-ubiquitous marker of Christianity. Although Christians did not invent the kiss—Jewish and pagan literature is filled with references to kisses between lovers, family members, and individuals in relationships of power and subordination—Christians kissed one another in highly specific settings and in ways that set them off from the non-Christian population. Christians kissed each other during prayer, Eucharist, baptism, and ordination and in connection with greeting, funerals, monastic vows, and martyrdom. As Michael Philip Penn shows in Kissing Christians, this ritual kiss played a key role in defining group membership and strengthening the social bond between the communal body and its individual members. Kissing Christians presents the first comprehensive study of the ritual kiss and how controversies surrounding it became part of larger debates regarding the internal structure of Christian communities and their relations with outsiders. Penn traces how Christian writers exalted those who kissed only fellow Christians, proclaimed that Jews did not have a kiss, prohibited exchanging the kiss with potential heretics, privileged the confessor's kiss, prohibited Christian men and women from kissing each other, and forbade laity from kissing clergy. Kissing Christians also investigates connections between kissing and group cohesion, kissing practices and purity concerns, and how Christian leaders used the motif of the kiss of Judas to examine theological notions of loyalty, unity, forgiveness, hierarchy, and subversion. Exploring connections between bodies, power, and performance, Kissing Christians bridges the gap between cultural and liturgical approaches to antiquity. It breaks significant new ground in its application of literary and sociological theory to liturgical history and will have a profound impact on these fields.

Book Luke s Portrait of Gentiles Prior to Their Coming to Faith

Download or read book Luke s Portrait of Gentiles Prior to Their Coming to Faith written by Christoph W. Stenschke and published by Mohr Siebeck. This book was released on 1999 with total page 488 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christoph W. Stenschke examines Luke's portrait of the Gentiles' state prior to their coming to Christian faith. Following the history of research, he commences with Luke's direct references to the Gentiles prior to faith and then draws conclusions concerning their state from the Gentile encounter with Jesus and Christian salvation. This includes Luke's notes on the condition of Gentiles and on their appropriation of salvation. Finally conclusions from Luke's portrayal of Gentile Christians are drawn. With his approach Christoph W. Stenschke challenges some previous contributions to Lukan anthropology. He argues that the main study in the field (J.-W. Taeger, Der Mensch und sein Heil) does not sufficiently consider all the evidence. By concentrating on the Gentiles in Luke-Act (including Samaritans and God-fearers) the author's thesis covers all the relevant material. Contrary to Taeger, who suggests that Gentiles do not need 'salvation' as much as 'correction', he discovers that Luke portrays Gentiles prior to faith in a condition requiring God's saving intervention. Thorough correction has to accompany and follow this salvation. Though allowing for distinct Lukan emphases, this portrait is not essentially at odds with that of other NT authors. These results further show that the Areopagus speech needs to and can be satisfactorily interpreted in its context and in conjunction with similar statements. The author further argues that Luke's narrative sections and the characterization they present should no longer be neglected in favour of the speeches. Luke's portrayal of Gentiles prior to faith also bears on his understanding of sin and provides additional justification for the Gentile mission. Christoph W. Stenschke challenges proposals of Luke's alleged anti-Judaism and provides some hitherto little-noticed correctives.

Book Christian Flesh

Download or read book Christian Flesh written by Paul J Griffiths and published by Stanford University Press. This book was released on 2018-09-25 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “[A] brilliant and provocative work . . . demonstrating the centrality of the flesh to the mysteries and doctrines of the Christian faith.” —Carol Zaleski, Smith College A sustained and systematic theological reflection on the idea that being a Christian is, first and last, a matter of the flesh, Christian Flesh shows us what being a Christian means for fleshly existence. Depicting and analyzing what the Christian tradition has to say about the flesh of Christians in relation to that of Christ, the book shows that some kinds of fleshly activity conform well to being a Christian, while others are in tension with it. But to lead a Christian life is to be unconstrained by ordinary ethical norms. Arguing that no particular case of fleshly activity is forbidden, Paul J. Griffiths illustrates his message through extended case studies of what it is for Christians to eat, to clothe themselves, and to engage in physical intimacy. “In this trenchant and careful theological treatment of our embodiment, Paul Griffiths puts the stress exactly where it should be put––on the possibility of transfigured touch. By focusing on the varieties of touch, he is able to untangle several unfortunate arguments between liberals and conservatives in a most refreshing way.” —John Milbank, University of Nottingham “Very few theologians can boast a comparable combination of profound questioning and precise reasoning. This is a book worthy of the most serious reflection, debate, and admiration.” —David Bentley Hart, Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study “Supremely lucid and beautifully austere.” —Evan Sandsmark, Modern Theology “A model of well-reasoned, stimulating and enduring theology.” —R. David Nelson, International Journal of Systematic Theology

Book excerpt: SOMEBODY'S Not Telling You the Truth!Whether you are a Christian or not... religious or not, you're going to be intrigued by this discovery.Does God really consider premarital sex a sin? How about prostitution? Most... No, all "Christians" believe that sex before marriage is a sin and that all prostitution is an abomination in the sight of God. But is that what God really says in scripture?Truth is... the truth has been cloaked by false religious doctrines based on critical flaws in the translations of certain words, perhaps intentionally, changing the meaning of specific pieces of scripture within the historical context it was written. What this creates is a gross misunderstanding of what the original intent of the writers was with regards to this topic. It's as if the religious elites have launched a campaign of disinformation designed to pull the wool over your eyes... But why?The outcome is condemnation and guilt for anyone who engages in premarital sex... or even thinks about it. But none of that is Biblically correct! This book proves it.Written by a Christian of more than 35 years who was challenged to expose the truth based on a failed relationship with his fiance, in which some Christian associates openly passed judgement that his relationship wasn't blessed due to premarital sex.Having discovered the truth long ago but never really studying it, he was forced to defend himself against a barrage of accusations based on scripture thrown at him by those indoctrinated in the religion of sexual immorality: Scripture he knew was out of context with the wrong translations. Unfortunately, he lost that battle because he couldn't "show himself approved." This led to a 4-month long journey into rediscovering the truth and exposing the lies perpetrated on him and the rest of the world.Based on facts that have been hidden from the public for centuries, he reveals what God's real intentions are regarding sex, sex before marriage and prostitution. What you will discover flies in the face of main street religious doctrine that premarital sex is a sin, all prostitution is a sin and that anyone "lusting" after another to desire that person is adultery. Whether you are a Christian or not, you will feel liberated from this distorted and false doctrine of sexual immorality and uncover what God truly has to say about those things which are really sexually immoral and why. This book is for anyone who is justly interested in the truth on this taboo. It will empower you and inspire you. This book in not a condemnation of Christianity and instead shows that it is "religion," not Christianity that is the issue. This book doesn't promote prostitution nor encourage sex before marriage, especially for young adults. It's an exploration of the truth that has been hidden for too long.
