Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Coquito is an educational and scientific instructional book through which more than 38 million Spanish-speaking children have learned to read, write and think. Coquito is conceived and structured in 54 sequential lessons, with which the child is able to start reading and writing, opening a future of intellectual and emotional potential that raises their awareness and self-esteem. This provides great satisfaction to teachers and parents because the students reading comprehension is high. The Reading by Words Method, created with the book Coquito Clasico, is built on the children s vocabulary and on the unique feature of the Spanish language that is read as it is written and written as it is spoken, unlike other languages, whose phonetic complexity is remarkable. It is therefore not advisable to teach how to read in Spanish using methods from other languages such as English and French because it will extend the learning process up to fifteen months for what can be accomplished in three months using our method. The constant interest of the author and his team of specialists is to restructure and update the book according to the improvements and suggestions from teachers who use Coquito with remarkable success, exceeding expectations in most Spanish-speaking countries. Coquito Clasico brings graphic colored themes, illustrated with captivating visuals that engage and develop the child s imagination. This initiates the process of oral expression and reading as well as writing and mathematics. We thank the teachers and parents for using our materials, and we guarantee that they have chosen a method of proven quality and excellence that develops mental processes, taking into account the linguistic features of the Spanish language."

Book Coquito Escritura Script Con Razonamiento Verbal

Download or read book Coquito Escritura Script Con Razonamiento Verbal written by Everardo Zapata-Santillana and published by . This book was released on 2014-10 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To write is to represent oral language through graphic elements known as letters. In the first grade, writing is reduced to formulating, through letters, words or sentences that are expressed orally. For this reason, reading and writing are consecutive stages. Given the concern to adequately manage learning the linguistic ability of writing, Ediciones Coquito presents to teachers and parents this activity book with exercises that reinforce verbal reasoning skills achieved with the textbook Coquito Clasico, guiding writing with the same scope and sequences in block letters or print style. This activity book presents multiple images that allow for the association of images and words with activities that enhance visual, auditory and motor discrimination skills. Through these activities, a child will be capable of observing, comparing, and finding similarities and differences in order to achieve increasingly higher levels of thinking and management skills. A child will learn correct movement patterns of the hands while writing and other basic motor skills, including improved dexterity in forming letters, better proportionality while tracing and spacing letters, and adequate writing speed. The exercises in this activity book are linked to verbal reasoning, so they are permanently used, avoiding a mechanical writing style and preparing children for the production of texts according to their creativity, which is powerfully stimulated with verbal reasoning. We hope to once more count on the acceptance of teachers and parents, and we are flattered to have contributed with one more instrument for the purpose of education.

Book Cook Brazilian

Download or read book Cook Brazilian written by Leticia Moreinos Schwartz and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Like its soccer and samba, beautiful beaches and carnival, Brazilian cooking is an explosion of colour and flavour. Leticia Moreinos Schwartz spending her childhood in Rio's iconic neighbourhood Ipanema grew up eating Caldinho de Feijao all day and drinking fresh coconut water on the beach. When she moved to New York she found she was homesick for the colour and vibrancy of the food she grew up with. Cooking for herself, she went back to the Brigadeiros and Baba de Moca of her childhood but found that her palate had changed. Leticia reconstructed classic Brazilian dishes, using the skills she had gained whilst working in some of the world's best kitchens. The dishes are a little lighter and less sweet to fit with modern health-conscious lifestyles, and are easier to recreate at home. The result is this groundbreaking collection of easy-to-make, easy-to-love recipes. With simple techniques and clear directions, dishes like Salmon no Risotto de Caipirinha (Salmon over a Caipirinha Risotto) and Bolinho Quente de Doce de Leite com Sorbet de Coalhada (Molten Dulce de Leche Cake with a Sour Cream Sorbet) will become part of your everyday cooking repertoire and bring a welcome Copocabana-born breeze into every home kitchen.

A night of dancing, wine, and a chance encounter with a handsome Princeton athlete, is a near-perfect send-off. When Billie's dad gifts her the keys to her own NYC apartment, she embraces the chance for a fresh start in a new city, even if she has to remain under the watchful eyes of her caretaker and bodyguards, including Caleb, who may be more than just a protector and friend. Within days of her arrival, Billie senses a change in Caleb, who's suddenly apprehensive about her rekindled relationship with Thomas-the handsome American, her wealthy new friends, and the beguiling (and not to mention gorgeous) Swedish family upstairs. He's been over-protective of her since the mysterious death of her mother years ago, but lately, he's been acting like there's more at stake than ever before. As Billie steps into an eye-opening world of wealth and secrets-where everyone may not be who they seem-she'll have to navigate her volatile new relationships and the mysteries of her past-to find her path forward.

Book Mechanisms of Adaptation

Book excerpt: The Bacteria: Volume VII: Mechanisms of Adaptation explores the mechanisms of bacterial adaptations and covers topics ranging from bacterial spores, cysts, and stalks to nitrogen fixation, bacterial chemotaxis, bacteriophage growth, and the structure and biosynthesis of bacterial cell walls. The roles of appendages and surface layers in adaptation of bacteria to their environment are also considered, along with cell division in Escherichia coli. This volume is comprised of nine chapters and begins with a discussion on the structure, properties, formation, and regulation of spores, cysts, and stalks in actinomycetes, blue-green bacteria, myxobacteria, Bacillus, Azotobacter, and Caulobacter. The reader is then introduced to the biochemistry, regulation, genetics, and evolution of nitrogen fixing in organisms; the receptors involved in bacterial chemotaxis and the nature of the sensing mechanism; the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria; and bacterial functions involved in nutrient detection and acquisition. The roles played by organelles and surface layers in the adaptation of bacteria to their environment are also examined. The final chapter deals with the regulation of, and coordination between, the multitude of events involved in cell division in Escherichia coli. This monograph will be a useful resource for microbiologists, bacteriologists, biochemists, and biologists.

Download or read book Jos Mar a de Jes s Carvajal written by Joseph E. Chance and published by Trinity University Press. This book was released on 2012-08-31 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: José María de Jesús Carvajalis both a biography of a Mexican postrevolutionary and a study of the development of a new border between Mexico and the United States during the crucial decades of the early to mid–nineteenth century. The work examines the challenges faced by Carvajal, a bilingual, bicultural character in confusing times, against the historical backdrop of the history of colonial Texas and northern Mexico. Chance has chosen to focus on a political-military figure whose career stretches from the Texas Revolution to the French Intervention. Carvajal played a key role in the violent struggle between the liberal and conservative political factions that vied for control of the Republic of Mexico from 1830 to 1874. He was the leader of a mercenary army that invaded Mexico from the United States in 1851 in an unsuccessful attempt for the creation of the so-called independent Republic of the Sierra Madre. In addition, he played significant roles in the struggle for Texas Independence and formation of the ill-fated Republic of the Rio Grande; and he opposed the American occupation of northern Mexico during the Mexican-American War, the War of Reform that solidified liberal control of Mexico under the leadership of Benito Juarez, and the French Intervention into Mexico. Carvajal’s life and exploits have been largely overlooked by contemporary historians. This work sheds new light on several important chapters in the history of Texas and northern Mexico.
