Book Copying The Image of God Maturity

Download or read book Copying The Image of God Maturity written by Evangelist W.A. Hutchinson Jarreau and published by Covenant Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-05-26 with total page 53 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Though I was not on the Isle of Patmos as John, I was humbled and moved during the wee hours of April 22, 2013, when I saw these words: “Copying the Image of God (Maturity).” As I sought the Lord concerning what He had shown me, He revealed to me His desire from the beginning (Genesis) for man to have His image. I gained insights to teach and share with believers, those yet to be saved, and all that have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church on this matter. Truly this was, has been, and is the heart of God for mankind everywhere. “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26a). The Lord confirmed the writing of this book during the end-time as we prepare for Jesus’s return for His church. Now in humble obedience and for His Glory, we proceed in the name of Jesus with “Copying the Image of God (Maturity).”

Then the Lord confirmed that I was to write a book on this subject matter, which was, has been and is the heart of God and so, as the Holy Ghost communed with me, I humbly proceeded with Copying the Image of God. Learn what you need to do now. Evangelist W.A. Hutchinson Jarreau goes forth doing the work of an evangelist in gospel tents, streets, nursing homes, schools, churches, and conferences. She also pastors Jesus Is the Answer Prayer Tabernacle Church. She was employed part-time with LESEA WHNO-TV 20 in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Tulane in May 2004. In the early days of making full proof of the ministry, she traveled back to the little county town of Pointe Coupee Parish where she was born to preach the Good News in places known as hell s quarters, where over time many lives were changed and countless Bibles were distributed from her Volkswagon, which came to be known as the Jehovah-mobile. Evangelist Hutchinson Jarreau humbly speaks as an oracle of God in meetings where the people of God are strengthened, backsliders are restored, and sinners are converted by the power of the Word of God! Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is very little to say in the way of introduction to this work except that the thoughts expressed are not original. They derive from the accumulated knowledge received by humanity from the Love of God and which is freely available to all in many forms. I have drawn from the sacred literature of the three major revealed religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam, but significantly I have drawn freely from the work '"In the Light of Truth" the Grail Message' by Abd-ru-shin. I also acknowledge the influence of all other works that lead to the One true God and the many thoughts and words of fellow human beings who have travelled the same path, whether these were never expressed or were eloquently expressed in writing or verbally. Since the work is so intimately associated with the guidance we have received from our God, I have not always paraphrased or referred to the specific source. This is most marked with the Grail Message the reading of which has influenced and changed my life completely. It may suffice to say that in its comprehensiveness, the Grail Message moves through the whole of this work. I have also not always quoted specific references from the Bible but as the title suggests the New Testament especially is a primary source. In spite of this or perhaps because of it, it must be emphasized that the contents of this book is limited by and within my understanding. The Truth stands above everything, and knowledge about our Creator is infinitely profound. No single human being can claim full understanding or even enough understanding to lead others unless he is especially called to that mission. I therefore offer this only as an encouragement to others to seek more diligently, to look more closely at our heritage as Christians and as human beings and to remain open to the work of the Spirit of Truth.

Written by a series of human writers across thousands of years, many find it difficult and confusing as well. But God in His wisdom gave a key to understanding within the text itself. God used the biblical writers to paint word pictures or images to help us more fully understand His message of love and His plan for our salvation. This book is about those images, which can help readers find fresh tools to deepen and enrich their Christian walk. Take the journey and experience The Images of God.

Book Augustine s Early Theology of Image

Download or read book Augustine s Early Theology of Image written by Gerald P. Boersma and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2016-01-15 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean for Christ to be the "image of God"? And, if Christ is the "image of God," can the human person also unequivocally be understood to be the "image of God"? Augustine's Early Theology of Image examines Augustine's conception of the imago dei and makes the case that it represents a significant departure from the Latin pro-Nicene theologies of Hilary of Poitiers, Marius Victorinus, and Ambrose of Milan only a generation earlier. Augustine's predecessors understood the imago dei principally as a Christological term designating the unity of divine substance. But, Gerald P. Boersma argues, Augustine affirms that Christ is an image of equal likeness, while the human person is an image of unequal likeness. Boersma's careful study thus argues that a Platonic and participatory evaluation of the nature of "image" enables Augustine's early theology of the image of God to move beyond that of his Latin predecessors and affirm the imago dei both of Christ and of the human person.

Download or read book How Jesus Saves written by Joshua M. McNall and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2023-03-07 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "How does Jesus save us by dying on the cross?" One night, as Josh McNall was talking with his young daughter before bedtime, she asked him this seemingly simple question. How would you answer? The fact that "Jesus saves" is perhaps the most basic claim of Christianity. Theologians and scholars refer to the way Jesus saves us as the atonement. the follow-up question—How does he save?—demands the attention not just of theologians but of every Christ follower. How exactly does a brutal and shameful crucifixion bring salvation? Why does the Bible call it good news, and why should we? In How Jesus Saves, McNall—professor and host of the podcast Outpost Theology—answers common questions and resolves misunderstandings that many people have about the atonement. You'll explore questions like: If Jesus conquered death, why doesn't it look like it? How could an innocent person justly pay the penalty for the guilty? Why couldn't God simply forgive apart from the cross? Doesn't following Jesus' sacrificial example actually enable abuse? Through Scripture, story, and real-life applications, McNall addresses this great Christian doctrine with simplicity without sacrificing the nuance it demands. Clear and readable, How Jesus Saves will deepen your faith and commitment as a Christian, giving you the comprehension and confidence you need to explain the atonement not only to your curious loved ones but also to skeptics who might challenge your faith. This book includes reflection questions at the end of each chapter.

Book Image Incarnation and Christian Expansivism

Download or read book Image Incarnation and Christian Expansivism written by Mark S. McLeod-Harrison and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2017-04-17 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I am the way, the truth, and the life, says Jesus. Yet the kingdom of heaven consists of all tribes, races, and peoples. How do people of tribes who've never heard the word of Christ enter the kingdom of God? A strictly exclusivist account of the gospel seems to keep many people out of the kingdom of heaven. An inclusivist approach is more consonant with Scripture and the love of God. Yet standard models of inclusivism are problematic. In this book McLeod-Harrison--a Christian philosopher--considers what's wrong with both narrow exclusivist and narrow inclusivist accounts of the gospel and proposes a broad inclusivism called "expansivism." An expansive account of the gospel helps us understand the uniqueness and the openness of the gospel together. Narrow exclusivism can lead to existential crises. Narrow inclusivism appears to make not preaching the gospel better for those who've never heard it. Expansivism makes human access to the gospel unique to the individual person and enables Christian theologians to provide lots of different, potentially conflicting and yet true accounts of the theological underpinnings of the salvation provided by Christ.

Book Atonement and the Logic of Resurrection in Hebrews 9 27 28

Download or read book Atonement and the Logic of Resurrection in Hebrews 9 27 28 written by William W. Henry and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-09-05 with total page 613 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The general believer waiting for salvation by Jesus hopes to see him appear while living or promptly at death. Comfort during loss of life usually portrays those passing now in heaven. Conversely, the more religiously academic, the less one thinks anyone, ever, goes to heaven. Trained scholars typically choose a closed heaven with temporal delays and spatial detours in limitation of God’s promises about “so great salvation.” “Better” typically perceives as a resuscitated flesh on earth that lives by decay of the surrounding creation. Hearing word-meaning by mapping creation with an old first-century option for plural heavens, this project reexamines the conversation recommended by the pastor in the letter to the Hebrews about promises regarding the twofold ministry of Christ. By analysis with current study tools, the conversation both challenges the common academy views and reintroduces a first-century hearing option for God’s speech concerning prompt, postmortem, Christ fulfillment into heaven. Listening includes the milk of the beginning teaching requirements for atonement and logic of resurrection to God immediately after death and judgment. Hearing senses the solid food about priestly intercession by Jesus after death at judgment to shepherd his believers for salvation into heaven a very little while after individual death and judgment.
