Book excerpt: Nous nous intéressons dans ce travail aux systèmes à événements discrets en général et aux systèmes de production flexible plus particulièrement. Dans ce contexte, nous parcourons l'ensemble des phases nécessaires pour son exploitation depuis la planification jusqu'à la commande finale. Nous avons opté pour une commande cyclique afin de réduire la combinatoire inhérente à l'ordonnancement de l'ensemble des opérations à réaliser. De plus, grâce à des travaux en colJaboration avec l'équipe de surveillance, nous nous sommes intéressés à l'observation de cette commande cyclique. Cette opération à été choisie de manière à ne pas instrumentaliser le système (pas d'ajout de capteur dans l'atelier). Dans ce cas, nous réalisons une surveillance indirecte par le flux qui prend toute son efficacité dans le choix de l'ordonnancement cyclique (périodes courtes) et pennet de diagnostiquer les causes des retards dans les sorties des pièces. Par la suite, nous avons souhaité justifier, a posteriori, certaines hypothèses émises lors de J'optimisation du systèmes (systèmes de transport non critique et en-cours illimité). Ceci nous a poussé à étudier la phase de conception des ateliers de production afin d'obtenir des configurations adaptées aux productions à réaliser. Ces champs d'étude de la conception et l'optimisation des systèmes de production ont, par la suite, été élargis aux systèmes de transport et logistique à travers des contrats industriels avec des partenaires régionaux.

La première application s'inscrit dans la conception d'un système de transport public. Le problème de la conception des itinéraires d'un système de transport publie a été étudié selon les critères les plus pertinents à optimiser. Une approche est proposée pour traiter les problèmes multi-objectif. Un moteur de Recherche Tabou adapté à notre approche a été développé: il permet de construire une solution ayant le même compromis entre les critères que la solution initiale. La seconde application consiste en la conception d'un ensemble de plannings de transport de fret qui maximise le profit du transporteur. La structure complexe du problème, nous a orienté vers une décomposition en trois sous problèmes pour le résoudre : la conception du réseau de transport, la planification des liaisons de transport et l'optimisation du flot de marchandises. A partir de cette décomposition, nous avons développé deux algorithmes, l'un permet le transbordement, l'autre non. La méthode sans transbordement est très robuste et très rapide.

This book presents the results of this project, providing new insights into both technical and management issues. The main objectives of its technical chapters are pollution source control modelling, risk and impact assessment, and evaluation and comparison of best management practices. It also covers management aspects, such as the analysis of the decision-making processes in stormwater source control, at a European scale, and stormwater management strategies in general.
