Book excerpt: [Résumé en français]Quel est le comportement des décideurs face aux systèmes d'aide à la décision ? Quels sont les facteurs qui contribuent à l'explication de l'utilisation de ces systèmes ? Pour répondre à ces questions, la recherche tente de décrire les pratiques d'utilisation des systèmes d'aide à la décision par les décideurs et se propose de contribuer à la connaissance des facteurs explicatifs du comportement des acteurs de la décision envers les systèmes décisionnels. Après un rappel des notions de systèmes d'information à orientation décisionnelle, de décisions et de décideurs, une synthèse des facteurs influant sur les relations entre les décideurs et les systèmes d'aide à la décision est proposée. Un modèle conceptuel est ensuite développé, sous une forme itérative, en se fondant sur différents cadres théoriques. Une analyse du comportement des décideurs à l'égard des systèmes d'aide à la décision est ensuite réalisée. Empiriquement, cette analyse se traduit, d'une part, à travers une étude qualitative exploratoire auprès de salles de marchés et, d'autre part, à travers une étude quantitative complémentaire au sein de ce même univers d'enquête. Sont successivement étudiés l'environnement de travail des opérateurs en termes de systèmes d'information, l'activité décisionnelle de ces acteurs, leur mode de prise de décision, leur comportement envers les systèmes d'information financiers et l'impact de la qualité (des systèmes d'information et de l'information) sur leurs pratiques d'utilisation. La recherche conclut à l'influence de la nature de l'activité, de la qualité des systèmes d'information et de la disponibilité de ces systèmes sur le comportement des utilisateurs finals. Elle se termine par quelques réflexions et propositions quant à l'utilisation des systèmes décisionnels.
