Book excerpt: Nous développons les principes d'une commande totalement décentralisée de Système Automatisé de Production. Le système décentralisé est constitué par un ensemble d'entités de commande autonomes. Chaque machine-outil (ou robot) composant le SAP se voit attribuer une entité de commande. Chacune est dotée de toutes les capacités de Perception, Communication, Décision et Action lui permettant de s'intégrer dans l'ensemble du système pour l'exécution des tâches de fabrication. Chaque entité a donc une capacité d'autonomie totale au sein du système. L'autonomie de décision de chaque entité de commande permet la réalisation de la coordination décentralisée. Cette coordination est basée sur la notion d'objectifs à réaliser, et introduit la notion d'événements pour cadencer la coopération entre entités. Notre domaine d'application étant les systèmes d'assemblage, le produit est un élément déterminant. La coordination résulte donc de l'interaction entre l'ensemble des machines et les produits. L'autonomie d'action indispensable aux entités est rendue possible par l'attachement au produit lui-même de la connaissance nécessaire à son élaboration. Les entités utilisent alors cette connaissance pour accomplir leurs fonctions de fabrication. La commande est ainsi guidée par le produit qui devient le vecteur de coordination. Nous avons adapté au contexte des SAP les notions de Décision Réflexe et de Décision Réfléchie habituelles en robotique, ce qui nous a permis de définir la répartition structurelle des fonctions de décision. Pour intégrer le SAP dans le système général de l'entreprise nous avons défini une entité spécialisée chargée des fonctions de dialogue avec l'Homme, et d'interface avec les fonctions de Gestion de Production qui se situent au niveau de l'atelier ou de l'usine. Une maquette de démonstration basée sur un exemple industriel réellement rencontré vient valider nos concepts. Elle est conçue comme le noyau d'un outil d'aide à l'analyse et au développement de systèmes de commande de SAP.

Le "système disponibilité" proposé est décrit au travers de deux modèles : d'une part le modèle organisationnel qui structure le processus d'émergence d'une connaissance tracée, et d'autre part le modèle informationnel qui structure les atomes d'information génériques permettant de garantir la traçabilité des connaissances. Le résultat principal de ces propositions est la spécification d'un système d'information centré disponibilité qui assure la capitalisation d'une connaissance tracée et sa réutilisation profitable. Notre proposition est mise en oeuvre sur une plateforme de fabrication experimentale, et plus particulièrement sur son système porte-pièces, support de notre validation. Un scénario de conception et d'exploitation de ce système permet d'identifier les connaissances majeures de la disponibilité, aboutissant à la mise en oeuvre du système d'information. Son intéret est montré, d'une part au travers d'un poste interface de maintenance structuré sur les bases des connaissances de la disponibilité opérationnelle, et d'autre part au travers d'un scénario de réutilisation des connaissances tracées dans ce système d'information.
